  9. Nnaa ehn I came here to cool off this night Choi

So this morning I was having malaria and my chairman said I should go to the hospital and run test, I told him no be today they born me, I know say na malaria dey worry me. He said he will buy malaria drugs for me on his way back but I told him not to bother just give me the money lemme go and buy the medicine myself.
Back in my father’s house we see no reason buying big big medicines so I normally treat malaria with Amalar of #60. So when I got to the pharmacy I thought I should buy the one with unusual name so I can confuse someone.

He came back this evening and asked if I bought the particular one he asked me to buy, I told him they don't have that one but I bought another one of #7000 and he said hope it’s not unbranded that he wants to see.
Dunno if it was immediately I gave it to him that my village people spiritually put the price tag of 400 on it cos I didn't see it since.
Guy man still dey vibrate as if to say na him dey sick.
Wayo no just dey favour me at all odiro na my destiny cha cha

    4. “I care a lot” hurt me bad cos it’s based on what is currently happening in the US. The documentary is on Netflix I can’t remember the name. Same way the have welfare department for children they have elderly care system where they attach a court mandated caregiver that will be in charge of every aspect of your life. They have access to their bank accounts and their properties and keep the away from loved ones . It’s really sad. There was a case of an old man that touched me and made me sad and angry at the same time.

  15. Please o. I've been observing a pattern in my husband's behavior. Whenever we have an argument or misunderstanding, he starts cleaning. Just this evening, we argued about something, he started mopping the floor, rearranging the kitchen, even started the wash machine this evening ( we wash every Saturday). We made up already sha but I am still looking at him with side eyes. Psychologists in the house, abeg chook mouth for this matter.

    4. It's a distraction technique. He probably doesn't want to get angry to the point of doing something nasty so he uses that as an opportunity to vent.

  27. Something funny happened at my end today. My neighbour's kid was playing with me outside and he followed me inside to play with my son. As usual, I locked my balcony gate and was on ear piece watching a movie (Lara and the beat- Lovely movie by the way) The boy played for sometime and started crying so I asked my daughter to take him to his mum who had earlier come to ask me if her son was with me and I shouted Yes from the bedroom which she did not hear unfortunately.

On taking the boy outside the gate to look for his mum, we met a large search party. Everybody has been looking for him when he was at my end 😏😏😏😏

  34. I have small tatafo for you. Update on Dr Ajayi’s estate.

Helen is saying she is a wife by ‘civil companionship’ and that the estate should be shared by ‘idi igi’ formula.

Let me enlighten people who don’t know about Yoruba inheritance laws.

We have two sharing formulas. Idi igi and ori o j’ori.

Spouses do not inherit. Only children do. A man cannot inherit his wife’s estate and a woman cannot inherit her husband’s estate. Only children can. That is because it is believed that it is the child that is the blood of the deceased. Both male and female children have right of inheritance.

Now idi igi goes like this - the estate is divided into the number of wives. So, even though wives do not inherit, they are seen as branches of a tree with the man being the tree. A man with 4 wives will have his estate divided into 4 and each wife’s child(ren) will share what is allocated to their branch.

Ori o j’ori means no head is bigger. The estate is shared equally between the children. If a man had 20 children from 4 wives, the estate would be divided into 20 equal parts.

Helen, via her lawyer Mr Abiodun Owonikoko SAN, is saying that the estate should be divided into 2. Lol. Which means that Mrs Yemisi Ajayi’s 5 children will share half. While Helen’s 1 child will take the other half.

Idi igi will favour Helen. Ori o jori will favour the wife.

Helen is also claiming that she is a ‘shadow’ director and a wife via ‘civil companionship’. Mrs Ajayi, via her lawyers, Falana &Falana Chambers (Falz’s Popsie’s chambers), says there is nothing like civil companionship in Nigerian law. And that the idi igi formula is used when the women are all wives. In this case, Helen was not a wife wether traditionally married or Marriage Act marriage. And that the directors of the company is the Late Dr Ajayi himself and Mrs Yemisi Ajayi.

I disagree that it is only wives that can be represented under idi igi. Since the estate is shared amongst the children, I believe that anyone who bore child(ren) with the deceased can be represented.

I however don’t understand why Helen is insisting that she is a wife when she is not. She was never married to him wether in accordance with the Marriage Act or under Traditional law. She is a lawyer and knows there is nothing like ‘civil companionship’ in Nigerian law.

Helen told Mrs Ajayi’s children to stay away from some hectares of land at a village in Ibeju Lekki. My sources told me that Dr Ajayi was going to build an estate for Helen and had started the process. Then he stopped. I don’t know if this is the land that Helen is saying the children should stay away from. I hope that the land had been formally transferred to Helen before he died. If not, hian.

Lawyers in the house, what is your contribution on this matter?

    Copied

    2. You better ignore your neighbours. How do you know some of them are not just going out to keep up appearances as well? Even if you are doing very very well and working Monday to Sunday, people will still talk. As long as you don't collect a kobo for upkeep or help and they are not helping you with getting a job, just ignore them please. Why will you go out for no reason? To expend the little resources you still have?

It's just a phase and it'll pass. Keep the hope up.

Hope you didn't mock 'jobless'(helplessly unemployed) people when you had one. Otherwise, this could be Karma.

I have so much fear in me, there won't be any sleep tonight except fear and anxiety. Can't wait for God to bless me with a child so that this will reduce ( so they say) It is well.

  47. i just need to rant this night.. have always had injectables as a means of family planning, but on Wednesday after the expiration of the last injection i decided to try the implanon (as in lock up once and for all). For 3days now despite ingesting alot of paracetamol, I'm still in pains. it became unbearable i had to go to a nurse around to ask how far? i was told the implanon was not properly inserted so i should manage my pain with ibuprofen and Vit C till Monday when I'm to go back to the clinic for removal or re-insertion. Everything is wrong with this country.

  49. I wish I can get help for my sister. She got married since 2001 to one monster. We all thought that the man was born again and well behaved not knowing he is a wolf in sheep clothing. There is nothing eveil the man has not done to my sister. Knocked off her teeth, beat her metal and rods, cut her with razor, poured hot water on her, poured frozen water on her, left her to sleep outside their home in the cold, locked her in police cell, beat their children in a bloody way. You may ask why she is still in the marriage? No home to return to,no no money to start life with, police and army will tell them to go and settle at home, children are still tender. Church has given a deaf ear because the man donates. Welfare and women's right NGOs have not even offered any help even after reporting the case to them. She has been bleeding for a year now. The Dr. said she has fibroid but on further check and examination, she is actually having cervical cancer stage 3. No money to treat her or even do surgery. I have been quiet for sometime now, can't even talk loud enough,I have lost my voice because I have been crying. This life is terrible. I wish I can get help for her. I only suggested she pray and believe God

She called me yesterday whilst at work, couldn't pick so i sent her an sms "sorry babe, in the middle of something big" , next sms i received from her was "i thought you said you liked it tight"?. 🤣😂🤣😂I am so marrying this babe!

    2. Be careful.

Figure out your values and priorities in a wife first and make sure she ticks most of them.

Then again, she could be faking this humour thing. Research says the most depressed people tend to be the most outwardly humorous.

Also, a lot of ladies are desperate to marry, hence they give you what you want.

Test her in several ways. Pretend to have a bad day, or be in a bad mood for days on end and watch her still remain humorous.

And the one that works like magic, pretend to be broke with no hope in sight.
