Musician Simi’s “Duduke” Becomes The First Video To Be Certified Multi-Platinum In Nigeria.

Simi’s “Duduke,” released under Studio Brat and distributed by Jungle Entertainment, is now the first short form music video to be certified 2x Platinum in Nigeria, after pushing 10413.74 units.






The music video of “Duduke’ has been viewed over 3 million times on YouTube NG – the only music video to cross the 3 million mark in the last three years (RCN data for Short Form Video Certification dates back to 2018).

“Duduke” was released on April 16, 2020 with its music video premiered shortly after on April 19. The video was directed by Adasa Cookey, who becomes the first music video director with a multi-platinum music video in Nigeria.

      I think the award is recognizing 3.5 million views originating from Nigeria alone, not the entire views globally.
