    1. Ordinary rat gum of N100 is now N200. If you can’t buy, go. No one is looking at your face because they too bought like that.

We can’t see good beans to buy again. The price is now competing with foreign rice.

      Palm oil, groundnut oil prices??⬆️

Whenever I go to the market, I come back angry and quarrel with my husband 😩😩 The frustration in this country is too much.

After struggling to buy under the hot sun and cook, NEPA will not bring light. Food inside the fridge will start changing taste 😭😭😭

Where is the BV that has 9m and her siblings were telling her to invest? Invest in what? Madam RUN!

    1. I made N1.6m from 3rd week of December to 1st week of January this year. By end of January, I had less than 20k remaining. The only thing I enjoyed from the money was eating mama put of N600. God help me.

The end SARS we did, they killed people and hid their bodies.

  10. Honestly the situation in Nigeria is terrible. I don't know if it has ever been this bad. You buy something at a particular price today and the next day the price is higher.

  18. Its a pathetic situation. Take home pay can not even take some people home. Its that bad. I am not a doomsday prophet but at this rate Nigeria can not get better, with the crop of our leaders/rulers, and those coming behind them. Have you seen the next generation of leaders coming behind them? Those ones are gearing to pilfer more and use Buhari as an excuse for their future failures. Sigh.

  19. A colleague just said.." try go market with 10k, you go dey pray make u get change take do transport come back". The situation is that bad.

I just came back from the market, I bought 1k meat. Na just 5peices with one tiny "dot" the man add as jara.mmmmccchhhhewwwsse.

This country is just a scam.

  24. It's really bad Stella.
500ml purit I used to buy #900 was sold to me the other day at #1300. Diapers are now costlier. Peak 123 is now 1300 as against 950-1000 it was formerly sold.

Let's not talk about foodstuffs, a paint of beans is sold at over 2k. A tuber of yam we will only eat twice is almost 1k. Potatoes are so exorbitant.

On top all these many states are being owed salaries for months. Those of us in private schools are collecting pittance as pay. On to that they will still collect surcharges running in thousands.
I keep thanking God for his mercies cos if not Him, I wonder what would have become of us.

  26. People have been complaining since l was a kid. People cry, insult the government and others. News flash, we are the ones punishing ourselves. You build house and want to make the money you used in building your house within years. A house that will outlive you, outlive your children and grandchildren, and others. My tenants are all paying 160,000 . I haven't increased rent in the last 6 -7years. Why should I? You increase house rent arbitrarily, your tenants who are market women and farmers are going to look for how to to pay their rant, they are forced to increase princes. Government increases fuel price from 145 to 160 , 10 litres simply moved from 1450 to 1600, a difference of 150. Bus owners of buses and drivers will increase bus fare with about 25-50%. How is this commensurate with the increase in fuel. Yes government is not helping but as a people we wicked to ourselves. You run a private school where you make millions from school fees but you pay your teachers peanuts and overwork them, we are wicked.

Reason why we get the same pool of people as leaders.

The leaders are a subset of the populace

    6. Alex, where should I send your kiss. All the landlords in my area decided to increase tenancy from 250k to 400k.
I got my letter and I laughed in swahili, told my landlady right there that 'mama, sebi you will take the money to market na, let's see how it goes.

I go to the market and come back calculating. Hoping I might have lost my money.
Last night I decided to make noodles and discovered that super pack size has reduced . You buy a carton for 4500 and the quantity is still reduced.

After buying a paint of honey beans for 2500 . I cooked that beans for over 3hrs and still not soft. One part cooked ,the other part like stone
