Twitter Opens Continental Headquarters In Ghana..

Social media network, Twitter on Monday, April 12, announced its presence in Africa with the establishment of its continental headquarters in Ghana.

Twitter made this announcement via a tweet on its handle l; stating the move will grant the company the opportunity to “be more immersed in the rich and vibrant communities; that drive the conversations taking place every day across the African continent.”

Twitter explained that the reason behind choosing Ghana as its Africa headquarters is because the country is the champion for democracy; and also practices freedom of speech and online freedom.

“As a champion for democracy, Ghana is a supporter of free speech; online freedom; as well as the Open Internet; of which Twitter is also an advocate. Furthermore, Ghana’s recent appointment to host the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area aligns with our overarching goal to establish a presence in the region that will support our efforts to improve and tailor our service across Africa.”

  1. I can't wait for buhari to hand over and let a more vibrant exposed leader take over. The laws in Nigeria does not favour both foreign investments and local business. Imagine if twitter jad its headquarters in Nigeria, the multitudes of jobs it will give to our youths. May God help us

  5. This is an insult to Nigeria. Upon Jack's visit last time! When we talk of how this regime has reduced Nigeria to a semi country, their foot soldiers will crawl out from holes.

Can any supporter of this evil regime mention one foreign direct investment under this wicked government? Or Borrowing from China and being supplied with train coaches that China won't use as part of DFI?

    We will outlive this regime.
