I don't understand.
ReplyDeleteWrong and a huge fallacy. He is a human being who should do all chores.cooking is a basic skills everyone should know. We have focused on the female folk for too long that we have raised illmannered, entitled men and boys.
DeleteAccording to caesar and Dante.
DeleteYou mean if he's got a maid ðð??
DeleteIn as much as cooking and cleaning is my hobbies, but when you put it this way or have this mentality... Hmmmm!!! na Wahala be that o.ð
God in Heaven knows I can only do my indomie the way only me can eat, I have been blessed with men who do house work with delight.
DeleteOpposite surely attracts ðĪŠ
Yes, I do all mentioned above and in return he is a very appreciative man by providing for me and my people. God bless you my darling hubby, he never seize to tell his friends how am truly his back bone,He is my king and we are happy this way.
ReplyDeleteAppreciative man is your hubby. May joy continue to be in your home.

DeleteSadly, most men believe and practice this. Sometimes, the wife don't just serve her husband, she serves his whole family..
ReplyDelete#wifenotmaid
Is the wife a slave?
ReplyDeleteIf I am doing that it is because I love to not because I am forced to. And if the man is doing his responsibilities.
A woman is a homekeeper so also is a man. I believe chores should be done on availability not a one person thing in most cases the woman. It should be done out of people's convinience. I mean if as a wife I have a demanding job, and my husband has less at hand, he should be understanding enough to help out.
ReplyDeleteIf both of us are hooked up, then we could just get someone that would do the tasking jobs.
Some might see this a 'white thinking',but ehn it just good to have a considerate spouse.

ReplyDeleteOh yes! He’s not supposed to bath himself or even brush his teeth cos his wife is there to do it all for him and that’s on patriarchy. ðð

DeleteGod forbid.... I didn't marry a slave and till today;we do the cooking together while we use mp3 to blast music and dance to spice it up..

DeleteWow. Nice one Matins
DeleteOdogwu. That is what it should be. My ex then cooks and he tells me that he grew up seeing his dad helping his mum in the kitchen. And this guy is a good cook.
Delete@ Martin you are a young man but you think and act way mature than some of your age mates.
DeleteNa man you bi
Dante is coming for you ððð
DeleteYou will live long Martins ð
DeleteMen shouldn’t wash their cloth themselves? This also reminded me of my old time friend who often DH or waybill his dirty clothes to his girlfriend to wash and send it back to him,

DeleteWhy did you try it though, since it was not your usual or rational style? See, men will adopt whatever shit they can get away with. Women need to stop being 'pick me's' and stop perpetuating bad behaviour by normalising stuff like this. How much is DHL, how much is the laundromat?
DeleteA woman is not a slave so a man is to assist his wife in the kitchen cos this life is you help me and I will help you.
ReplyDeleteIf my man decides nit to help me then I will not assist him in contributing shishi with the house upkeep.
This is some absolute poo that stinks and it is not true one bit
ReplyDeleteWife NOT slave ðĪĻ
ReplyDeleteDish washers and washing machines makes the cores easier for the married couple
ReplyDeleteThat's an archaic believe, even the married men know it's shouldn't be this way.
ReplyDeleteLinda just wants us to talk.I know there are a few naive men that still think like this but there’s not a lot of them around anymore. The lot that has this mentality are either divorced or single.A wife is not a slave.las las make God give us money.Person wey get money no go even know how him clothes Dey Dey washed.
ReplyDeleteLinda abi Stella ðĪĻ
DeleteBecause he's handicapped or what? I don't understand ðð
ReplyDeleteSays who?
ReplyDeleteJewel, you wrote wife instead of Maid.
ReplyDeleteLies.
ReplyDeleteI wash my clothes and my wife's own, cook for my family, shop for them do some home cleanings.
My wife does same. It all depends on who is more chanced to do it as duty demands. The family is
a winning unit in Christ. ⚽⚽⚽⚽
✌️✌️
DeleteNa to go represent her for .... women towns meeting na him remain ! Broda you will go far. Nice
DeleteIf he is footing all the bills then yes
ReplyDeleteIt is good to be truthful, God bless you
DeleteNot again!ðĐðĪ
ReplyDeleteEhyah! So marriage made the man utomaticaly disabled...God will heal him of the disability o.
ReplyDeleteðĪĢðĪĢ even during my parents time my mum doesn't wash my dad's clothes not to talk of in these era wey person eye don tear reach back.
DeleteWell it depends on the understanding between the couple. I don't like doing laundry and my husband doesn't like doing laundry either. Immediately after our wedding we got someone that comes around to do the laundry for both of us. We share other chores,he goes grocery shopping, on weekends he helps in tidying up the house and cooks sometimes. He did most of the cooking when I was pregnant and washed my undies as well. Any day I manage to wash clothes he dries them and bring them in when they're dry while I do the foldings. we've been operating like this since we got married, I never asked him to do any of these things but he said I'm his partner not his slave and I appreciate him every day I wake up. I can't trade this man for anything in the whole world. I love you baby. God will continue to bless and increase you. You've been treating me like an egg since we got married and sometimes I feel like I can't survive without you with me. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteMay God continue to bless your home
DeleteIt is old fashioned.
ReplyDeleteMen of these days are romantic and considerate unless uncivilized ones that have Pete Edochie's mentality.
Most men were not raised in such way though and don't know how to do domestic chores.
When you can't assist at least let your money work for you.
Get a help or buy the necessary home gadgets to make it easy especially when children are involved.
Nobody comes this life to suffer.
I used to wash my hubby's clothes until he started acting as if it's my duty i stopped o. I'll wash guy man clothes, neatly fold and when he comes back he'll be asking me did I wash these clothes? As if no difference to when they were dirty..that thing can vex me like mad.
ReplyDeleteMy husband did something like this. I carry his plate for him after eating. Somehow realised that even if I am sleeping he will leave his plate on the dining. Told him straight up that when did he turn to * Baba Banjo* kind of men? He said how? Told him. He lied it wasn't intentional (But it was). He changed sha. So I started carrying it for him again sometimes. I do things for him from a place of love. But if his head starts touching, I retreat. Wife not slave abeg!
DeleteI wonder when basic life skills became gender categorized.
ReplyDeleteLol. Sigh
ReplyDeleteI wash both my clothes and wife's own.I even go to the market to avoid her going through stress.Dishes is no big deal i love to do that, sometimes all these little help can reduce stress and aging of your wife especially in a country like Nigeria
ReplyDeleteGod bless you.
DeleteHmmmm,am speechless,if i should say what is on my mind now, some pple will start shouting feminist
ReplyDeleteHe can as well get a maid not wife.
ReplyDeleteSo long as he maintains a yearly vacation in any choice location in Europe
ReplyDeleteThat's a wrong assumption.
ReplyDeleteIs it me that my heart used to do tulili tulili that will wash big chinos and jeans garbs? I hear you.
DH is "banned" from my kitchen because he can't cook.
A)The days he's celebrating or gets overly excited,he cooks "fantastic dishes". Haha. You don't wish to see the colors. The problem is a gallon of apple cider vinegar will be used to wash 6 carrots. I no fit shout.
B)Tentatively, he doesn't wash dishes.
For washing: the laundry guys come twice a month for thorough clean up and ironing.
We wash our undergarments by ourselves. The days they can't meet up because of weather, DH irons everything. It's his hobby anyway.
We're good.
This is not applicable in my home.
ReplyDeleteFunny enough am doing all these and i don't take it as anything. I have children and work too!
ReplyDeleteSo what does your husband bring to the table?
DeleteI wont be surprised if you pay rent and school fees.
That's how the wear and tear will be telling on you sbd you wont know and you'll be looking far older than your age. Ask your colleagues how old you look just by looking at you. You will be surprised some will give an age 8 years ahead.
My ex had that mentality that a woman should do all. I would work n work n when he sees me sweating that's when he loved me more .I felt o could end up dying if I ended up marrying him.
ReplyDeleteThis is so my father. Loves you more when you are sweating up and down doing chores.
DeleteHe's not supposed to wipe or flush after pooping sef. Or wash his car. Why should he bother brushing his teeth gan? He shouldn't even work to provide for the home, he should just lay on the couch, eating, watching ESPN, getting spongebaths and writing lists of more chores to keep his wife gainfully employed.
ReplyDeleteWoman's role defined!
ReplyDeleteWhat about the man?
We need to focus on the men now, they are now the endangered specie.
With this mentality, we will soon run out of men in this country.
All those things are life skills and are not gender based. Imagine not preparing sons for knowing how to take care of themselves. No wonder you got men walking around with poop stains in their underwear, not even proper wiping of bums after a bowel movement is taught. Another set can't even wash their skin well during a shower, always have dirty backs and ears. Then you have the ones with frowsy cheesy, smelly balls and talking about a wife, where? Please prepare your sons properly for life. Wives are not replacement mothers.
ReplyDeleteSays who?
ReplyDeleteWho was washing his clothes before??
