  2. PEOPLE PLEASING

β€˜Fear of man will prove to be a snare
    Proverbs 29:25 NIV

To ensure victory in battle, King Saul was supposed to wait for Samuel the prophet to come and offer a sacrifice to God. But as the day wore on and the people grew impatient, Saul offered the sacrifice himself. When Samuel demanded to know why, β€˜Saul replied: β€œWhen I saw…the people…slipping away from me…I…offered the burnt offering.” Samuel saidβ€¦β€œYou have done foolishly…The Lord would have established your kingdom…now your kingdom will not continue”’ (1 Samuel 13:11-14 NRSV). Because Saul needed people’s approval, he lost everything. Speaking truthfully may not be easy or comfortable, but the Bible tells us to do it anyway, like Samuel did. People pleasing is inherently dishonest because you’re telling others what they want to hear, instead of what you need to say. Now, you can’t be rude and insensitive, but you can’t be intimidated either. Just because somebody doesn’t want to hear the truth doesn’t negate your responsibility to speak it. Have you ever felt uneasy about something somebody asked you to do? One of the ways God leads us is through a sense of inner peace. When something doesn’t feel right, speak up.

  4. Marriage is a social construct and nothing tangible.

    What is real is relationship.

And a lot of married people are not in relationship, or are in terrible relationships.

The husband is in Japan, the wife is in Jupiter.

They have no connection whatsoever, whether.physical or spiritual - except on special occasion and Christmas - when they put up a show of being together.

  5. Perfected Forever In Righteousness!!
    Hebrews 10:12-14.

    Excerpts!!

"Never see yourself as unrighteous and imperfect. Christ is your perfection"

"It's like when a child is born; that child is perfectly as human as the parents are. But the child needs to be trained and equipped with information, education and strength to live a fully functional human life"

"As you receive the Word of God into your Spirit, you're being trained in the life of righteousness; you become more skilled in the doctrine, understanding and application of your righteousness in Christ"

    Confession!!

I'm the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and in union with Him; I'm reigning in life. What blessedness to be the expression of His righteousness and bear fruits of righteousness, to the glory of His Name! Blessed be God.

  14. The zoo is in chaos. The zoo is under an unprecedented hullabaloo. Your zoo is finally living out its last days. We told you your country was a zoo a long time ago but all you did was to get sentimental and throw insults at us. This zoo didn't just assume that tag. It's been a zoo for a very long time. People who could afford it where advised to run away. Many foolishly believed their zoo would be transformed by mere wishes or via the ineffectual declarations of their criminal pastorpreneurs. Dear Zoogerians, una never see anything. Na now the real wahala start.
Umu Chineke nkere eligwe warned you not to tow the path of Mr Lifeless but you refused. Listen, Mr Lifeless picked an Igbo man as his vice in 2003 but we refused to vote for him and voted for Obasanjo. Again, he picked another Igbo man in 2007 as his vice candidate, we voted for Yar'adua instead. What does it tell you? We, like other tribes knew he was a disaster waiting to happen and refused to have anything to do with him. But some, out of akpiri looked away and brought this unimaginable catastrophe upon us. Haven't we been justified? There is practically nothing like leadership today in the zoo. Your zoo regime is printing money to run its affairs! That is why there's serious inflation. The people manning this government have no clue what to do. See the semi-illiterate superintending over the ministry of finance! That aboki woman knows next to nothing. Lifeless just replicated himself in every appointment. They're planning on increasing electricity tariff and also the price of PMS.
Let's not even attempt to delve into security. There is no money you'd promise me- even a billion dollars to make me travel to any part of the zoo by road. That is how bad things are at the moment. And you think there's any way any form of FDI would come in here? The Zoo is as good as dead. You better run away while you can. There's still a little window.

  26. The Anon asking about loosing weight for some days now.
This is what I did and found to be true. If you can take off sugars from the source, you would loose weight.
When I say sugar,I'm referring to refined carbs as well.
Eat mostly natural things as you can also stay off some high sugar fruits.

The book that actually changed my eating habit was "The sugar impact diet" by J.J. Virgin.
I do have an E book copy.

It simply helped by stating the foods and how the sugars in them affect the blood and insulin and thereby helping you hold onto fat.Its a practical book because it states the foods and tells you if its low, medium or high sugars in them so that you can decide to stay on the low and medium sugar impact foods.

You can eat 2 or 3 meals and no snacking.

    Hope this helps

  28. Stella and bvs we need to be very careful.
Akwa-Ibom is not really a safe place at this point. I am a youth Corp member serving in Akwa ibom. Yesterday, I almost got kidnapped. I left the secretariat and was unable to get bike to transport me to the city to take bus to my destination. I was lucky to get a dispatch keke that helped me and took me to the park. On getting to the park, he helped me look for a car (they hardly use big buses here; mostly bike, keke and mini bus). I entered the back as there were two people in the car; the driver and one passenger. I sat beside the window facing the road so other passengers can come in through the other side. First passenger came in and sat beside the other side window. Then another passenger (a man again) came in and then came to myside so I was in the middle. Then another man came inside and then I was pushed again to the middle. At this point I was feeling uncomfortable. Another passenger (a man again) came in so I was the only female in the midst of 6 men. I was so uncomfortable at this point so I asked the driver to let me come down or sit by the window side. He refused and started the car. I continued shouting and I was so scared at this point. I started attacking the driver and pushing all the men beside me that at least, let it be accident na and let all us be going. I was shaking at this point. One of the men then spoke their language to the driver and he stopped and they pushed me out of the car but took my file containing money, earpiece and ID cards except my phone as it was in my pocket. I had to to beg for money to go back. If you’re familiar with Akwa ibom, I was going from Oron park to uyo and then ikot ekpene. It was a traumatising experience and I could hardly sleep. I even dreamt about them. Now I have to go back tomorrow and I’m still so scared.
