The highlight of my day was this little Hausa girl walking up to me to tell me that I’m very “fine”, and went on to nudge her friend and point at me, saying: “see that very fine girl”πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°
You know what they say about kids being brutally honest. If it comes from a kid then it’s probably very true. I’d been having a very awful day but that unexpected compliment perked things up a bit.

  19. I've tried baking my own bread twice but the dough just never turns out good enough so I can already tell the end product won't be fantastic (true on both occasions), the bread was dense instead of elastic and fluffy. I don't know what I'm not doing right😩😩.
    I intend trying again tomorrow.

    2. Use warm milk for your yeast, allow it for five minutes, before you add to the flour mixture if it is not enough use warm water till your dough forms, knead properly then cover and put in humid area. What i do is i add hot water to a bigger bowl, then put in the bowl with my dough properly covered in, it rises faster, allow for one hour, knead again and allow for 45min, then preheat ur oven and bake. Hope it helps, lemme know how it goes

      Delete
    3. Did you knead it well? Did you do the double rise? Did you proof your yeast first? You could also try mixing your flour with boiled water. Or add milk. Milk makes bread fluffy.

  24. Took my newborn to get her vaccine shots and boy! did she cry 😒 and then, she was moany (?) for a few days. What was shocking to me in the most wholesome way is that her moaning mannerism is exactly like mine that even her big brother noticed. πŸ˜„

I moan when I'm ill or in pain esp in my sleep. For FJ and I to notice her doing the exact same thing and us saying it simultaneously just shows how well my kid knows me and it gladdens my heart. ❤️

    3. I remember when my baby took her two months vaccination. I had already prepared how I would cry with her even begged my husband to go in my place because I didn't want to be present but he couldn't.

Girl cried for all of 10 seconds and that was it after three injections to her laps. I was amazed. And she didn't show any sign of discomfort the rest of the day. Same thing happened when we pierced her ears. Cried for all of 5 seconds and that was it.

I think I have a bad ass baby girl.

    2. That’s such a wrong way of resolving conflict! This used to be my husband and I and we just had to stop with the texting nonsense when angry. It adds more to the fire πŸ”₯ aka argument! Just stop texting and learn how to control your emotions! Talk about it face to face when you’re both calm. Go for a walk or jog and sweat it out if you can’t take it anymore. I’m happy your husband starts to ignore your text msgs when pissed off. You don’t realize he’s trying to stop the situation from escalating. Communicate like an adult! Your kids are watching and they’ll mirror same way of resolving conflicts. Break the cycle! And Give him space and let him breath! Jeezzz! You’re annoying abeg.

    3. Maturity is key in marriage. If I had married young I would have divorced even five times because of my immaturity then. Today I know myself better and make a much better partner, more mellow and much more forgiving and diplomatic.

It doesn't matter what the argument is about neither of you should ever ignore the other's call, ever. What if it is something life or death. Have a deep talk about this attitude of his, it does not belong in marriage. Furthermore spouses require different treatment that what is given to the rest of the world.
