  3. I still see no reason for the ban.All they owe us is an apology for tweeting at our President in that manner.

Its unacceptable to even say they don't know where he governs.Like how?today they are tweeting Nigerian flag, you don't know where he governs but you know Nigerian flag.you must apologize for the insult

  5. Way to go. Ads and all will be a complete lost to their P and L account.

Have an office in Nigeria. Even if it's 20 Nigeria's that gets employed we will have less people looking for jobs.

This guys make so much money hence why they declare so much profit.

Instagram and Facebook is next. They need to have offices in Nigeria. They make millions daily from advertising on their platforms.

Also this will create rooms for competition and other brands will develop.

Personally this is a step in the best interest of Nigeria's. The Twitter ban was an excuse to get them to do what needs to be done.

    2. But this validates their decision not to have an office in Nigeria. Imagine if they had. Govt would have shut it down it and arrested everybody there by now. As if they saw the future sef and chose Ghana. You talk as if our environment is so welcoming for foreign investors.

Anonymous 12.08 that era is over.you don't need to have an office anyway to pay tax. There was a forum last year by World bank or IMF discussing about how these social platform should pay tax to countries that has citizens using it for business. The analogue and dinosaur presidency were not in attendance so they don't know.

Twitter can still pay tax to Nigerian government without their presence here. Just thot to let you know.

Stella I am in sifia pains 🤣🤣🤣🤣 i just wasted 30 minutes of my time.

If you watched arise tv interview, he repeated same thing. Mentioned Endsars etc. Repetition and all.

They asked about plans to expand railway projects in nigeria; he said yes to Chad. That Chad has been very supportive so he will expand there.
He was asked about food security,he replied that food dey that we are eating "fresh" rice from farm.

He said endsars youth burnt down those buses; that the governor brought pictures of wanton destruction he said ok that he will the pictures in his album and archive them. That he does not have money to give to repair anything.

Summary: I feel NTA felt slighted by Arise Tv having to interview the president first. It was all repetition, drab and boring. Looking at my ceiling fan would have been more productive in those 30 minutes.

  7. We like it when they insult our President, forgetting that in extension, they are insulting the entire nation governed by him. Nigeria is a sovereign nation and no stupid social media platform should think it is above the laws of the land after all, they make money off its' citizens.

  8. I laugh in VPN.

You think this is a win for Buhari???

Naa... Twitter has nothing to lose. Its Nigerians who do and it's cos of them Twitter will make an effort.

The love Nigerians have for Jack is obvious so he will be willing to compromise but to open office for naija?? He won't do it.

Buhari is a dictator and he won't change.

    1. My sentiments too. The citizens of Nigeria are suffering and have lost so much. Twitter's loss is nothing compared to what Nigerians are losing everyday from a wicked government. So many Nigerians do businesses on twitter. And top govt officials includingthe opposition are scared to speak up. NIG government moved to Koo. I mean what is that? To me Twitter is even the mature party here.
