Court Frees IMN Leader El Zazakky And His Wife

A Kaduna State High Court on Wednesday, freed the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and his wife.

In an eight-hour ruling, Justice Gideon Kurada upheld the no-case submission filed by El-Zakzaky and his wife.

The Kaduna State Government had levelled an alleged culpable homicide, unlawful assembly and disruption of public peace against them.

The judge in his ruling held that the prosecution failed to establish a prima facie case against the defendants.

El-Zakzaky and his wife Zeenat have been standing trial for four years on an eight-count charge.

  1. Has Nigerian government ever won a case? All they are good in is media trial. You can imagine the scrupulous charges against him and they couldn't prosecute him and the wife. Their charges even lack merit. Can you imagine wasting a whole four good years of this man.

Nigeria is truly a mess and a huge joke. Britain e no go better for una.

    2. Iyke I know what I meant by that statement. You and I knows too well that, it's the federal government dealing with this man all along. The case was tried in Kaduna doesn't exonerate the federal government prosecuting him. In fact, his residence is in Kaduna the reason of the court jurisdiction.

  4. Yeye government,I'm sure they're tired of feeding the man and his wife. Heard they spent a lot of money for his feeding daily. They started what they couldn't finish.
