He was arraigned on an 11-count charge bordering on conspiracy, abuse of office and diversion of funds to the tune of N15,619,000 (Fifteen Million, Six Hundred and Nineteen Thousand Naira).
Adeola, a Pastor of the Adventist Church and Country Director of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency of Nigeria, allegedly diverted the Church`s relief funds for personal use including paying for his PhD programme in Babcock University and illegally enlisted his wife on the Church’s payroll.
Just imagine! There are people in need that needs help in the church, people like this won't even look at them. Wetin God go judge go plenty!

ReplyDeleteThat’s where your tithe money go to and they say they have it to God.. so u think God wants your money? Money that human beings created? Many pastors use the money for their personal use , feel free to insult me
ReplyDeleteI applaud the church for bringing him to justice. It is good that pastors should be held accountable for their actions.
ReplyDeleteIf he no chop am,another oga AAT the top go eat am,abi where all the money we dey contribute to church dey go? No be because make food dey house of God,God commanded people to be paying tithes? Oya quick one, when was the last time your church gave out food? In my church they still ask fie welfare offering separately, they even ask members to bring foodstuffs during Christmas so as ti share with the jess privileged among us, if anyone needs money in church, they will carry book and be asking member to donate, where offering and tithes dey go?
ReplyDeleteMy dear ask me oh. My SIL will pay her tithe religiously every month but last month end her niece came asking if she had some foodstuffs to spare or some money so she could feed her twins for that weekend... na lie, she say she no get, say na money wey she wan use pay tithe the next day na im dey her purse. Haaa. Na wa o. Which mind she wan take pay that tithe? Many of us are more religious than humane. Ngwa nu, make una dey sponsor pastors for school while your neighbour sleeps hungry.
DeleteMaybe the pastor is not transparent as he ought to be. He should ve carried others along in the stealing program he embarked on. If only he had done that, it won't be stealing anymore. I know my comment doesn't make sense kind of; but this is the kind of mindset some men of cloth who are stealing God's money use in quieting their seared conscience. It is a pity!
