Who is going to Church today?  Have a nice day at Church if your church has resumed full activities.

Those of you in Lagos, are people wearing nose masks again and keeping a safe distance? I have been seeing reports of a third wave and then the NCDC updates also indicate that there is some kind of increased infections of the delta covid variant ... Una no dey fear? 


This is to announce that blog visitor Martins aboy and his wife just welcomed their second baby, a girl. She was born yesterday Saturday July 17,2021. Mother and child are reportedly doing just fine.... Congrats to him.

    It is a lesson to me that Sound Sultan who sung so much about home was laid to rest abroad.

    His song Motherland, is like a poem to me. He said no matter where you go, come back home! But he could not make the trip himself.

    Sound Sultan was one of the few contemporary musicians who did not just make music, he made sense. All his songs.

    He likes this country, and promotes it in his songs.

    A country that cannot successfully diagnose many diseases in most of its hospitals.

    Even ordinary ear infection, Buhari will go abroad.

    To be sick in Nigeria with any serious ailment, is to sign your own death warrant. Because there is no help. All our doctors are in London, the ones here do not have the tools to work - no light!

    That young man who loves Nigeria so much, had to travel abroad.

    When I lost my mum, I was like an empty paper. I thought it was a time to dwell in the house of God and totally dedicate to his service.

    And of course, the house of God to me then was an organized Nigerian church. And his service was - all them fake ass church singing and ground mopping.

    I keep saying Nigerian churches because I assume churches in other countries are held accountable. And not established for politics and money making.

    My experience then is something I still ask for grace to write about in a proper book. It was like stripping someone naked on a very cold night and then pouring cold water on their body.

    Or suddenly pushing a person off something they held for balance.

    But you see, Jesus went through worse.

    For someone who has been betrayed before I quickly adjusted.

    I saw that it was important that I find my own God, for myself.

    Many church leaders are cold, self-serving liars.

    And if you think the "church" is the place to open up, you have just been put to shame.

    They will say we are family here, but it is not true.

    I saw that the congregants - sinners who go about their honest businesses. And jet in and out of church on Sundays, may have better relationships with their Creator, than people in church duties.

    Because church leaders are not what they claim to be on pulpit. Many of them are far from it. To an extent that the difference is irreconcilable.

    When I got tired of the lies, I started telling myself the truth.

    The presence of the Lord is with those who honestly seek Him.

    And regardless of how evil people in Nigerian churches may become, God will always be true.

      you people hian, what if it wasn't planned?? I have 2 friends who just gave birth to their second within 15 months of having their first and both were mistakes/miscalculation as per thinking exclusive breastfeeding/amenorrhea equals contraception. People hardly give contraceptives serious thoughts till they are done with child bearing so this happens a lot.
      But even at that, dem beg you to take care of the child(ren) for them?

    I don’t know why i find it so hard to watch Nigerian movies on Netflix now. I start watching and after a few minutes I lose interest and move to foreign movies. Nigerian movies have lost taste in my mouth. The ones I still like are those old Pete edochie, kanayo, Aki and pawpaw movies. These new ones are just not there at all.

    I recalled how my mother told me that she was advised to abort my baby sister because she was breastfeeding my brother then. Today, they all grown up and successful, I and my younger brother are yet to have children of our own,but my baby sister has produced 3 healthy grandchildren for my mother. So please, mans' plan is not Gods' plan.

      An aunt of mine made the mistake of aborting her second pregnancy cause she felt it was too soon to have another baby.Many years later, she has not been able to conceive again. That's one of her biggest regret in life. And one useless Anon is up there talking rubbish.
