The visa waiver agreement, which was contained in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Ghana and the UAE on mutual exemption of entry visa requirements, is in respect of diplomatic, service/special, and ordinary passport holders.
Ameyawdebrah.com reports that the agreement was initiated on November 18, 2019, to waive the visa requirements for the passport holders in Ghana and the UAE, who can stay for a period not exceeding 90 days.
UGC Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, who is the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, subsequently presented the MoU to the House on May 26, 2021, and after a referral to the Committee on Foreign Affairs for consideration and report in accordance with Order 140(4) and 183 of the Standing Orders of Parliament, the agreement was approved on Thursday, August 5, 2021.

*This is great!...
Waivers like this are awesome!... I can travel to so many Countries the World over and i don't need a Visa.
Is there any Country holders of Nigerian passport can travel to without a visa?
That's good.
ReplyDeleteThis can only happen in Nigeria if Nigeria GROWS! Have you been to Ghana? Those people are developing their country so fast.
DeleteCountries offer things like this to a country that is growing; so they won't come and overpopulate their country.
Imagine UAE offering such to Nigeriaπ€. Who will remain? Onye obula oso...
11:07 Ghana is Dubai compared to Nigeria. I am so happy for them, their growth and general development over the years is worth applauds. Nigeria can never.
DeleteNigerians can travel to Cotonou without visaπ€¦π€¦π€¦
Delete@Chisom
DeleteYou don go Ghana before?
just open mouth dey talk yaw yaw.
Until we do away with this government, we will never have goodies. ,2023 come fast. I just pray people will do the right thing in this incoming elections
ReplyDeletePls stop putting all the blame on government, all the crimes and atrocities committed by Nigerians in UAE, where they orchestrated by the government/leaders?
DeleteSamurai ππ
DeleteYori you are correct
Delete@Samurai, you made a valid point.
DeleteNigeria is the dustbin of Africa. We have scammed our way out of opportunities. First Twitter went to Ghana, now this, we are not even worthy of fighting about who’s jollof is better again. Ghana is on a different level now.
ReplyDeleteOn point mehnn.
ReplyDeleteThose who say "ordinary Ghana" it's happening right before you. What y'all say?
International positive ties elevates a nation. Greatly.
Nigeria keep up with your Ministry of Kidnapping.
You will get there.
Not my business anymore.
Nigeria is not a country. It is an amalgamation of ethnicities with each group electing a few to consume all the benefits accruable to them. Take out the oil money being shared in the center, there is nothing left to make her a country.
ReplyDeleteThis is it! Being Nigerian has to come before being a particular tribe. Nobody has time for tribalism wahala where investing and opportunities go.
DeleteFather LORD, how did our beautiful Nigeria came to a point where we now place second fiddle in the global scheme of events to Ghana. Every well established organization is moving its Africa or West African Headquarter to Ghana. Now Ghana visa free to UAE.
ReplyDeleteLORD, please forgive us. Hear our prayers, have mercy and heal our land. Make our Nigeria the giant of Africa indeed and not just in words - AMEN.
Second ke? Nigeria is last. Can you believe that no Canadian Embassy in Nigeria and Nigeria gives them the highest revenue in terms of immigrants from Africa.
DeleteYet their embassy for West Africa is based in Ghana. How many Ghanaians are leaving their country where things are in place for them and with a growing economy to go and migrate to Canada that is freezer?
It's a shame I'm in this generation of Nigeria where everything is spoilt. I wish I was an adult in the 80's I would have migrated then when it was easier.
May God continue to bless Ghana and her people. May they never take on that spirit of superiority and better than which has cause many nations to fail. May they always remain a humble people and continue to reap the rewards.
DeleteBianca, pls stop lying. There is a Canadian embassy in Nigeria, specifically Abuja.
DeleteYou all should do and migrate biko, let's hear word.
DeleteOga oooo, awon tiwa are clamoring for new states so that when they leave the senate, they will have another looting arena to work from. They sit, deliberate & pass mundane legislations. Awon alailojuti.
ReplyDeleteLevel of Intelligence shows in the results gotten
DeleteNo amount of white washing or propaganda can change the truth
Until the culture of self deceit ends
The backward slide continues
Nigerian leadership at all levels how far
Oga oooo, awon tiwa are clamoring for new states so that when they leave the senate, they will have another looting arena to work from. They sit, deliberate & pass mundane legislations. Awon alailojuti.
ReplyDeleteOmo! See slap eeh...
ReplyDeleteOh wow!
ReplyDeleteGhana congrats.
ReplyDeleteThis is the development a working country brings to it's nation unlike our Naija where bandits are called businessmen.
WHICH WAY NIGERIA
I want to migrate to Ghana and get their passport. I am tired of being a Nigerian
ReplyDeleteBetter start now.
DeleteThinking the same thing babe. Ghana my second African country, i am on my way to becoming a citizen my darlings. ππ
DeleteThe reward for doing things right eventually comes.
ReplyDeleteThose Nigerians who have insisted on endless corruption and kata, kata don dey see where instant gratification with no thought for the future finally leads.
Good for them
ReplyDeleteStella Kork don't even start pleeaass.
ReplyDeleteIt's bad enough it's only about 20+, the countries outside west Africa are funny nations like Vanuatu and Niue.
Just one is good enough GEORGIA but many are not interested.
Green pali is low demo pack.
Painful something.
They should forever remain thankful to Jerry John Rawlins because their politicians were miserable dimons like the ones we have here in the kontry named, black area till Jerry came through to rescue them. I'm happy for them, though they aren't completely there yet, i believe that they are heading to becoming the giant of Africa and also going to be holding the highest power in the continent. I am rooting for Ghanaians! Lmao, sometimes i'd be wishing i was a full blown Igbo Anambra Ghanaian, lol.
ReplyDeleteNigeria ntoor giii
ReplyDeleteChai! Who did we offend in this country oooooo! E go better Sha
ReplyDeleteJust Imagine... And naija is suppose to be the Giant of africa
ReplyDeleteKeep supporting your Yahoo Yahoo brothers and the drug dealers. Keep respecting people based on their level of wealth. A country where there's no value. A problem with the problem of followership. Presently leaders aren't the problem of this country. That ur mama wey dey carry her Yahoo boy son go meet prophet be the problem

DeleteThey don't want to hear the truth, they would rather blame govt.
