Reality Star Kayvee Issues Official Statement On Why He Exited Big Brother's House.

Big Brother Naija season 6 former housemate Kayvee who left Biggies House on Monday, has blamed anxiety for his withdrawal.

Kayvee’s health deteriorated on Monday morning while housemates had their morning exercise. He was also said to be acting weird and awkward before his exit.

Kayvee in a statement he personally signed, thanked Nigerians and his family for their unwavering support.

“I underestimated the effect isolation would have on my mental health and integrating with other housemates. I honestly wanted to stay till day 72 and I believe I have the empathy, personality and game spirit to have made it to the end.

“But, certainly event that happened in quick succession escalated the anxiety I felt and impacted my being the jovial, energetic and fun person I am.
Since my withdrawal from the house, I have reconnected with my family and I am currently at a medical Facility working through the debilitating anxiety I felt. I covet your love and prayers.

“I look forward to connecting with Kayveefc whose love and commitment has been nothing short of astounding. Word will never be enough to convey my gratitude.”

*Just knowing he was on Live TV may have broken him down, some people are like this... Tennis Champion Naomi Osaka's withdrawal from tournament and complaint that she suffered mental health issues just knowing she had to grant interviews has brought it to the fore front that people suffer just knowing that they have to face a crowd and talk.

This is what Waffy will call ''Liver fail am''

Here is wishing Kayvee a fast recovery.

    1. You are actually the ignorant one. Be enlightened, substance abuse and dependence is a mental health problem likewise withdrawal from acute cessation of use and intoxication from over use and yes, substance use can also induce psychosis and mood problems too.

Whether the break was induced by isolation, knowing he is in the limelight or acute cessation of substance it is still a mental health problem and he needs professional help.

  6. Boma and Sasakay said it all during their DS. Boma said KayVee was ok when he first entered. That they had discussions about a whole lot of stuff KayVee and he as photographer and model, talked about how they will work together after the show. He said all of a sudden people started changing towards the guy.
That he noticed that at the parties, the girls wouldnt dance with him and pushed him away.
This was after some noticed his English wasnt too sound. Boma said Kayvee said to him i think i tall, i think i fine, i think i sharp,,,but here,,,omo.....he lost confidence the more the rejection.
I noticed this with Angel especially, She was the first girl he wanted to bond with, I saw her castigate him for his English. And speak to him in a deogatory manner. She made it a point to avoid him and push him away during the party. Many of them were like that at some point too. Except Saskay. She said the same nearly happened to her when she got to the house and saw everyone but it she got over it after a while.
I can see that being in that house with strangers especially if you have got inferiority complex for one reason or another aint easy at all.
I remember Laycon saying he was scared when he entered and saw fine guys with muscles and accent and initially felt inferior. May the Lord help Kayvee.

    2. Anon..09.37...some people have undiagnosed anxiety and need the triggers to even know they got one. Hope you know there are different types of anxiety disorders, Generalized anxiety disorders is a type, same way phobias is a type likewise stage fright too.

    3. Thank you Orela for taking out time to school these anons, I suffer from anxiety, and I don't wish it on my worst enemy, the sweating, the heart palpitations, insomnia.. anxiety is so draining.
So anon rest, the symptoms can present just the way Kayvee was behaving, anxiety can make you so disoriented and withdrawn.

    4. Orela rest na, are you his doctor?.
There are diverse psychiatric disorders, that guy has no anxiety disorder.

      Delete
    5. @anon 10.51...are you his doctor to be sure he doesn't have anxiety disorder?

You are right about psychiatric disorders being diverse and you should learn from today that a person can have multiple of those diverse diagnosis at a time.

The fact is what ever you think he has can coexist with anxiety disorder too...He has a right to keep his diagnosis to him self and he can choose to share the diagnosis which is a lesser evil depending on the society he finds himself to better deal with stigmatization.

  10. Get all the help you need, Kayvee. It's not a thing to be ashamed of. A lot of people suffer from the issue but choose to hide or shy away from it. Some, instead of getting help, become violent and aggressive.
I commend you for taking the step to seek help. May God come through for you.
    Wishing you all the best.
