INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD

A school year just ended and graduation parties held here and there. Children from Kindergarten to Secondary schools graduated and I had fun watching a lot of the graduation parties online.

Its lovely to celebrate our children’s wins no matter how small but I also noticed some parents made it about themselves than the children. Imagine a case where the mothers kept changing outfits in a pre nursery graduation, getting individual party tents and having different surprise planners coming in with different gifts at the school or graduation venue.

I can’t tell people how to spend their money, but it became a show of who was getting the biggest gifts and cake. It became a competition, the competition became heated when one of the kids got a ps5 game. He was so excited and screamed so loud all his friends came around oohed and awwed at his gift and left looking disappointed in theirs.

I felt all this drama and personal gift presentation could have been done at home and as I said earlier I can’t tell anyone how to spend their money. I also don’t mean to criticize anyone one.

I just feel a lot of parents over do these things.

These over doings is part of parenthood and sometimes one does not know when to stop or know that it is wrong...Let people celebrate their kids how best they know how to, it is the duty of the school to tell the parents to leave the gifts at home... If they have not done that, means its not a problem.

Here al gifts are left at home except it is a birthday party being celebrated outside the home!

YOU SAY WETIN?

How you did not know after eating that they were drugged.... what kind of drug? Is it the type that makes one high or increases ones libido?

I think you should see a doctor to be a on the safe side.

IJEOMAS GIST CORNER

There's this guy in the area that had a quarrel with his landlady o. This guy out of anger went to her plantation and cut off her plantains, Hmmmmmm.

Na so people for area begin blame am sey him for no cut plantains na, sey e get spiritual implications. They actually asked him to go and ask for forgiveness and make some cleansings for cutting down the plantains.

Guy no gree o, he was shouting and saying 'nothing dey happen'. Now now something don happen cos this healthy looking guy don kpai just like that leaving his little kids and poor young wifey

News wey dey fly for area sey na because of the plantains wey the guy cut o............Things dey happen. I actually took time to make enquiries about this cutting of plantain thing and was told it has spiritual implications.

There are so many questions that needs to be answered, maybe it's time to go back to the root and make enquiries.

I've been to deliverance sessions and heard how one's umblical cord is being used against destinies. Some of us that were born and bred in the villa, ours were buried in a plantain tree and then the plantain becomes yours forever.

Things dey happen o....

WOW.... plantain tress are spooked? for real?

If you are not faithful to what God gave you, don't expect Him to give you His testimony.

  3. When you attend burials do not just cry. Crying is useless. Instead, listen to the eulogy of the dead person’s life.

Then ask yourself, what will people say when my own time comes? Start living a good life so people won’t have to lie that you were good during your own eulogy.

Rest in peace is probably the most impotent prayer ever. It has no bearing on the dead once you die, you die.

Nothing anyone on Earth can do will affect your destination or your rest.

You and only you alone determine where you go to rest after death.... copied

O my dada was the very best, very kind hearted and on this day the saying a good name is better than silver or gold came to play. Till today I haven’t heard one bad thing about him. He was loved by all.

  10. RE : Ceaser’s SP comment.

An achievement is defined as a result gained by effort. Now, a good marriage requires effort and it’s a goal like any other so when you achieve it, it’s an accomplishment ESP for those who truly want it.

For some, marriage just happened for them. They may love being married but it is not an achievement for them rather a bonus.

Those of you downplaying marriage yet actively yearning for it are hypocrites.

    3. I count my marriage as one of my achievements.

    4. Marriage is not an achievement. It is just part of life's process. If it were, why aren't the men celebrating this achievement? How many people mount a podium and while giving a speech on their feats like, educational qualifications, career goals accomplished, projects executed etc. mention marriage as one of it?

      Delete
    5. Twins Squared, it is NOT part of life process because not everyone goes through the process of marriage.

There are gendered aspirations: Marriage has been sold as an aspiration to women. That’s why it seems like only women celebrate it..just like providing has been sold as an aspiration to men.

      Delete
    6. Marriage is an achievement to some of us whose life is not going smoothly in other areas except marriage. I can't imagine being single with no child and in this condition. No good certificate, no good job, no skills.
Maybe if I was single, I would have gone far in other areas of my life, like getting a good higher education and earning well

      Delete
    7. I'm saying it again..
Marriage is achievement to some not all women or marriage..
There are women who don't have a life without their marriages...
What will u say about a woman without a job,or didn't even have a certificate,no business, all she has is her marriage and children, and the man in question take very Good care of them...
Some marry before the husband sent them to school, drive a good car,and are well respected because of their husbands..
Most women will want to get married, but mght not happen for everyone..many unmarried ladies are not happy about it..
Marriage is a necessity, but a good marriage is an achievement..

  14. @ inside the mind of a woman going through motherhood... It's so true. Even when it's the birthday of a child, you'll get to see competition of who brought the biggest Cinderella cake, toy guns as gift packs, latest stuff in the gift packs and most expensive dress and hair do. This led to no celebrating of birthday's in a school on my street. You'll wear your uniform and no sharing of anything. You can tell the teacher it's your child's birthday and the children will sing "Happy birthday" to the child and it ends there.

My sense of taste returned in about 2 months but till today, my sense of smell is not fully back. Every bad smell I perceive has the same odour.

At first I thought it was Covid but my husband never complained of any symptoms nor I apart from those two

  45. Ceremony for appeasing is done on an
Eke market day that falls on the 1st day of a month within a year.
That is the 1st market day according to traditional calendar, a day for turning around evil done to children.
This ceremony is organized and performed by the Heathens, they(about 4) come kitted and with an oji(a long totem) on the right hand of their leader. A woman heathen comes with them, she comes in an all white wrapper duly tied round from her chest down, draped in white chalks and a long scarf running down her spine. She's called The Ezenwanyi who accepts your items one after the other then hands them back to you to go drop at a junction same night.
She bears a totem too; it guides the way clears the evil spirits at midnight or the process won't be completed. They're likely to upturn it.

The good thing about the process is that no man or woman touches you. They stand to watch that you keep to instructions, lay the items in the white pots in order and shake well when instructed to begin the process while some members of the family can watch from a distance. If it's dark, they can light native candles.
Items normally required include many newborns or day olds:
    Day old spotless white chick.
A Oneseed kolanut bud( 贸j铆 ofu mkp铆).
    2 cowries,white in color(ego ay贸l贸)
    A big white hen (nnekwu).
White baby beads or hair pins known as ng矛l矛nga nwa or aka nwa.
A small bell painted white( mgb矛l矛mgba nwa).
Day old white goat kid with the placenta( this is the hardest to find)
as nwa ewu ocha is a scarce breed but somehow they get around it. Most times the family takes months to book a pregnant white goat and monitor the delivery. It can be induced to birth at a time as long as it is due.
Freshly cut bunch of plantain with the fluid dripping from the thick stalk.
A white strip of cloth is tied to the stalk.
Can't remember the rest of the items but they're all affordable and no raw cash is taken. No blood drips anywhere and there are no incisions on any body part.

Your 1st process is at midnight, few hours before 12 holding plantain leaves on both hands to call your full names and those of your parents and grandparents only(ikwu ato is the name process). Then state your offence and plead for forgiveness. You get guides on how and who to call their names into the 5(?)pots.
2nd you proceed to a 3 way junction led by Ezenwanyi to drop the pots. The Heathens will carry it away and complete the process provided none is cracked or broken on the way. They are usually small anyway.
3rd step, you shower when you get home using a small white soap which must finish and sleep in a white cotton outfit.
4th step, the following day at sunrise, usually between 7am and 8am depending on the weather, you hold one kolanut that has 5 parts in your right hand and an nzu(white limestone) in the left and speak into the sun.
Give God thanks for honoring your plea, call the names you'll want your unborn coming babies to bear, declare what you want them to become then go drop the kolanut and nzu in a bucket of water, shower with it and burn the white cloth you slept in. The kolanut is crushed and thrown away and the nzu melts in the bathing water.
Notice that nothing gets into your mouth.

  46. Part 3. Last page

Your family can do Thanksgiving on Sunday( Christians, hmmmm), share biscuits, fanta orange(only) and sweets to kids from the neighbourhood after church service where the Reverend gets to pray and annoint you as the case may be.The weight of the party depends on your pocket but it's advised that it's toned down because sugary things aren't good for kids.

    Thereafter,you're FREE!

Please don't try to argue that because you or your family are born again christians, you will never follow the process.
My dear you are A Goner!
The ways of the "gods" are deeper than we know. When you're warned to avoid them. AVOID THEM.
When you're told to give to Caesar what is Caesar's. GIVE TO CAESAR and go away. In all, let your blood not drop anyway or receive any cuts on your body.Blood covenant is deadly.
And always Think before you lift a Cutlass! The gods are wise.
We can only explain the physical, they know the spiritual and they are holding it down well.
Stay out of the "gods' way" and hold your own side well.
They make their demands at the right time and you can't escape it.
