    1. Your people are the ones who suffer and will suffer their monstrous behaviour. Keep finding ways to give these idiots justification for their idiocy. They are turning southeast to a bloodbath arena and you are here talking nonsense as usual.
The Government should have listened to them by which understanding? Following a failed UK DJ who have turned gullible people to idiots snd send some to early grave yet enjoying their contributions with women in his basement far away from the land he preaches violence. I don’t know the sense you people bring to the table with this irrationality. Let the gunmen and IPOB continue their actions in the southeast. Na una people go suffer the outcome. Make una no stop them now o. The southeast was shown as the region with the lowest IGR (internally generated revenue) yet our Igbo brothers like teejay will be shouting how entrepreneurial the southeast is. Mtcheeeew.

    3. Eka Joy, thank you so much. There were calls long before now for dialogue and engagement but the government refused. Suddenly, everyone is now blaming IPOB. Has the government done better, will all these agitations be happening? Instead of dialogue, they chose to kill and destroy. We should be truthful when we are reporting or commenting on issues like this.

    4. Even when they burn people and properties, we should not blame them but govt? Issorait. Destroy your region if you so choose

    5. This crazy ezege or egeze is back with this nonsensical point. Dialogue with who? With Coward nnamdi who preferred his dog to the people he led to their death? Dialogue with Coward nnamdi squandering donations by flying everywhere and buying designers with the money of gullible followers? Vomiting violence here and there but is as cheap as an ant? Now IPOB has no leader except the etege or ejege or ezege here leading confused ipobians with meaningless comments. Nooo, continue your sit at home and killing yourselves while you blame the government, soldiers, police and dss. The lion you trained to be a dog has recognized its true biology. It is ready to feed on you all

    6. Eka, so to your understanding, the government should sit and dialogue with any group that springs out chanting whichever course that strongly believe in, going against the laws and constitution. Did they follow the right channel????

    7. Nnamdi Kanu created those monsters.
His approach and mannerisms were totally obscured from a freedom fighter or activist. He leaned more on attack than defence, ignorantly antagonizing the Nigerian government, when they in turn spoke the language they understood, you say they're dealing with the monsters they created, WRONG!! They're taking the monsters that got loose by their supreme leader.

    8. Senseless, a war that lasted close to 3 years killed over 2 million igbos because of brainless people like you and Teejay. At the end Ojukwu ran away in search of peace, while frolicking in the presidential palace in the Congo. You didn't see videos of your brothers stopping schools from taking this their English exam.

    9. Anon 11:04, if the sit at home has no effects, why are you all crying? Gov Dave Umahi is lamenting that on every sit at home, the Eastern states loses 10billion naira and you think it is not getting to the federal government that receives tax and daily revenue from states.

      Keep fooling yourself.

You believe the government and Gunmi can dialogue with Fulani terrorist and grant them pardon but can't dialogue with IPOB. Do you see were your bias and injustice is coming from? And you want a better Nigeria.

Unfortunately, the government is handicapped over this. The only option left at this time is dialogue but I'm afraid, IPOB said the window period of dialogue has elapsed.

Too many sickos parading this comment section.

    11. @Teejay, no window of dialogue has elapsed, the government has got no reason to dialogue. Yes we see the bias of the federal government on the issue of bandits, bokoharam and IPOB but truth be told, everything about IPOB is not been conveyed appropriately and by the right people. If they continue like this, the east will continue to suffer and face more consequences and then a civil war which they still wont win, this is a fact, truth be told.

There are so many legal ways to go about this agitation and get quick results. First call all your representative in state assemblies, the Senate and House of Rep to raise a motion for a referendum, and if it is rejected, let them boycott the national assembly. If the government still didnt call for dialogue or do something about it, let all of them withdraw from the government and then conduct a referendum within themselves. This way the international community will have a course to support this and pressure the government into negotiating with IPOB. And if you think the people who represent you at the national assembly will not support this call, the election is just few months away, let all IPOB members sponsor their members who are ready to do this to the national assembly and individual state government. I tell you Biafra will come in 5 years.

Again, IPOB should stop dragging regions or states that refused to be a part of them along, this will only continue to slow the process down and even stall it.

I support Biafra agitation if this is what the region want, but its time to change tactics and use sense before the region is dragged into more mess and trouble.

They don't even have sense like common how can u put sit at home on Monday which is the beginning of the week instead of putting it on Friday, if u really want it to affect the Hausa in the south east so they can't go to their mosques to pray but sense is always far from them. Let them continue sitting at home as if it change anything until they start abusing it. Na from clap dance they take start.

  6. I see someone up there saying, the violence in the south east, please keep quiet if you don't understand why it looks like people stay off the roads on such occasions..Me I don't stay home because of the IPOB order but because of some unscrupulous elements who takes advantage of the situation even the security patrol on such days is enough to scare any right thinking human indoors judging from how some of our security personnels are trigger happy!
Iam a woman and I have heard a military man search me,while his colleagues holds his gun very close to our vehicles because I was going to work on that day,he was mocking me saying"you want to claim you are not amongst your people or you don't support them" so why should someone that came out on such days be made jest of yet you people are angry that some people are not coming out?
A friend flew from Lagos to Asaba and her experience on trying to get into Onitsha gave her chills up until this day,she said the taxi she boarded refused settling the security men in Anambra and she volunteered to do that for fear of what she heard one of them say.so for someone that boarded a taxi for 7k paying more extra that amount to get to her destination, you think it's funny or she will adhere to this "go your normal business"on such days.
Please a lot of are not supporting IPOB but are being careful that we don't want to be in the middle of the "rivalry"
Then there is no violence happening in the south East and anybody wishing that on the South East is lying but occasionally like we know in Nigeria of today, evil people perpetrate some heinous act, that doesn't make IPOB the culprit, sometimes their foolish talks is what is pinning some of the crimes against them, yes we know some of them were violent but Ndi Igbo has rejected any self determination that involves violence and I think it sank into their head and now whatever you hear know that some evil people amongst us are the perpetrators..I sincerely wish that our government will just tell security officials to do their duties on such days with decorum then you will see people "disobeying" that sit at home.
For me, this is one of the reason I stay home,I have great phobia for guns!

    1. So the school burnt today and the children prevented from JSSCE exam was done by the soldiers and Nigerian government right?

Be deceiving yourself by petting yourself that these crimes are committed by people taking advantage of ipob’s rhetoric. No, it is what their coward commander told them to do and that’s exactly what they are doing. They don’t even respect your traditional constituted authorities in the east. Anyone against their call is tagged a Fulani supporter, slave and a betrayal. His or her blood becomes permissible to be spilled and properties destroyed. The chicken has come home to roost. Keep justifying ipob and their acts by giving them excuse while they continue to destroy the east in which you are claiming otherwise.

      Delete
    2. Which chicken??
The only place the children is roosting and will keep on roosting is in the North, your prayers for us in the south East won't work.. You people should channel this energy to what is happening in the north and leave the people that sits at home to be!

  8. I can remember when they started this newly,I rode in a keke with 2 young men on getting to a police check point, both the keke man and the young men were asked to come down and they were searched thoroughly and later they asked me the female where I was going,I told them, they asked the keke man to go and drop me then held the two boys because they said they were going to their shop, they asked them "which job"the one your mumu say make Una no go today"
I kinda felt bad for the guys because I don't know what will be their fate,so when people stay away, don't just blame them, blame the people that have made our system so weak that a non administrative voice can say things and the people "adhere" to it!

  10. In Nigeria it's a crime to have an opinion, this agitation has been on but this present administration out of its hatred escalated it out of proportion,if you hate Eka Joy, openly say it but don't chop her head because she said the truth on this..This administration talks carelessly and handles everything concerning the South East with so much disdain and that is not how to make a people wanted in an entity you say they are shareholders, when they complain, you either shut them up or call their bluffs away, they protest, you shoots and kills at will, now they decided to stay indoors,it's paining you, what is even right in this country?
I don't want to say where Iam from but I have lived in Enugu for the past 10years since after my service year ,so I know the industrious nature of these people,so for them to be shutting down like this on a Monday of all days shows they have had enough, govt should look into this very well more especially their governors should come together and address this issues if they feel it's affecting them..The governor up there talking is part of the problems, have you been to Anambra cities recently,no roads, the traffic situation there is beginning to be worse than Lagos's,so he should do the needful,5years ago used to come into Awka to hangout with friends now na my Awka friends dey find me come because of the bad road,I can't want to have an enjoyable weekend that is stressful abeg
