Nigerian Govt Extends Deadline For NIN And SIM Linkage To December 2021

The Federal Government of Nigeria has extended the deadline for the linkage of National Identity Numbers (NIN) with the Subscribers Identity Module (SIM) until the end of December 2021.








This was disclosed by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ibrahim Pantami.

The Government asked Nigerians and other legal residents to complete the process of the linkage before the end of the year ....

    What is the use of BVN if these things cannot be simply linked?
    What is the use of NIN in itself if these things like this cannot seamlessly done?

    1. Hope you are aware not everyone has a BVN as not everyone has a bank account (hard as it may be to believe), i.e. financial exclusion.

      I'm not holding brief for the govt but let's take it easy with the criticisms. Alternatively, you can provide your own viable solutions to the issues.

  7. My mum complained to me yesterday that mtn is still informing her to link her nin even though she has done so. Told her to forget about the nin thing. Buhari used it to register his uncountable number of brothers that entered Nigeria last year.
