Yoruba Nation Secessionist Agitator Sunday Igboho Reportedly Falls Ill In Detention.

Self-named leader of Yoruba secessionist agitators, Sunday Igboho, has reportedly fallen ill in prison in Benin Republic.

One of his lawyers, Yomi Aliyyu, who disclosed the development in an interview with BBC Yoruba, said Igboho was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

His lawyer said, “Igboho was not diagnosed with this sickness before he was arrested in Cotonou. It was so critical that they had to rush him to the hospital.

“I can’t tell if he has been returned to the prison from the hospital but what I know is, he’s battling ill health and it seems his kidney and lungs are already being affected.
Even though I cannot tell which part of his body the sickness has really affected, I know it has to do with his internal organs.”

Igboho is currently in a detention facility in Benin Republic after he was arrested along with his wife in Cotonou, on July 16, 2021, on their way to Germany .
His wife has since been released.

  3. Wow! How sad. I could have sworn I saw pics of him in a plane on the way to German. I didn’t know he was still under arrest all this while. This is why Nigerians rarely fight for their rights. No one cares. You’re on your own. Was it worth it?? How sad. Will he recover? Kidneys n lungs 🙆🏾‍♀️
