DeleteShan George, always feeling small and inadequate and unaccepted and unappreciated and entitled and ignored...
DeleteShould be more of "single parent".
ReplyDeleteBoth single parent and single mother is wrong. It’s a mother and a father. Stop with the derogatory comments.
DeleteSo what shd ppl call them then?
DeleteThe issue is that if a single mother is already feeling small about herself, then anything society calls her will stress her.
Just like no baby is a "motherless baby"
ReplyDeleteBabies do not come from pumpkins. The mother born throway. 😏😏😏😏😏😏
Shan, the case you should be making for "single mothers," is a "brief case." Tell the girls to close their legs and their greed from sweet talking men and from what their eyes see instead of good characters. Once a dude is "loaded," girls will be spreading legs wide open like moto park gates.
ReplyDeleteI hope you know there are widows, divorcées as a result of domestic violence. Not all spreads their legs for men. It’s amazing the women are more shamed than the men who are singles too. Let’s be kind to one another cos God is kind.
DeleteA widow is a single parent it can happen to anyone, there is nothing derogatory there
Delete'Once a dude is loaded',how daft can you be?
Delete"Every child has a father"
DeleteWe all pretend as if we don't know that she's not talking about widows; right?😊😊😊😁😁😁😂😂😂
Tell the "dude's" to put a rubber on it.
Delete@17:25
DeleteTell the dudes and ladies to abstain. Besides, the ladies put themselves up to it, except the person was raped.
I think I understand what she is trying to say, 'Single Parent' should suffice in my opinion
ReplyDeleteParent is fine. Nobody cares is they are single, double, triple. If they are being a parent, that's it!
DeleteYes she's right
ReplyDeleteOk ma
ReplyDeleteOn point
ReplyDeleteWhen they're young they boast, I won't marry, marriage is over rated, I have my didldos I don't need a husband. Being a single mother is the Koko, born kids for three different men,one will pay house rent, one will pay school fees the other will pay for vacation bills.
ReplyDeleteOld age takes over, story wan change.
Shan George no let all these Igbo men for apple junction down to razak balogun see this rubbish post,na caricature you go turn.
Gum body to your life long decisions,e don late
Empty idle men will make caricature
DeleteVery well said Ma.
ReplyDeleteThat word sounds like slang that refers to women that carry the responsibility of both mama and papa.
ReplyDeleteFine wine
ReplyDeleteA single mother is a term used to describe a mother who does not have a husband or a husband according to Merriam-Webstar dictionary.
ReplyDeleteWhy complicate something that has such a simple meaning? 🤔
The Nigerian connotation and stigma perhaps?
DeleteI have traveled far and wide and its only in Nigeria that they attach a stigma to a woman because she is not married or has kid/kids. Forgetting that a lot of factors can make a woman become a single mother. We are just way too judgemental.. meanwhile some women will be married and still be all over the place as if they are single but because they are married, will badmouth a single woman...very hypocritical people..tueh
ReplyDeleteThere are "single fathers" as well. The term is just not often used because children born to unmarried couples (that are also not living together) are typically raised by their mothers. Where they are raised by their fathers, he would be described as a single father. This "wokeness" that madam is trying to provoke is unnecessary.
ReplyDeleteNeed to differentiate these terms single mother/father and babyMama/papa....one is def derogatory...and we knw 😛
ReplyDeleteShan, society has words for what it sees. It's really that simple.
