Building Under Construction Collapses In Badagry.

A storey building under construction collapsed on Wednesday, November 17,2021 at Flour Mill Estate in the Magbon area of Badagry in Lagos.







Margaret Adeseye, Director, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, confirmed the tragedy in a statement.
She said four persons who were mainly construction workers were rescued while an operation is underway to pull out those trapped.

According to Dailypost, the rescued sustained varying degrees of injury but are in stable condition in hospital.

    1. Another one bites the dust! I genuinely feel for Sanwolu and LSG, Please be proactive and carry out audits and enforce compliance.There should be massive sacking by now...

      Please people lets learn to do the right thing..Involve all building and constructions professionals e.g Architects, Quality surveyors, Civil/Structural engineers to put up structures...Have respect for human lives for once for God sake...

      Someone people will just call Baba Afusa the bricklayer on the street and give him the project to carry out the whole construction..Haba Maigida!!

    1. We don’t have inferior building materials as such in Nigeria. The problem we have is the application of these materials. The construction workers try to manage the iron, cement, Chipping etc, thereby reducing the number of pillars carrying the building and the strength of the cement holding the building together.

  5. God abeg o,this week alone,about 3 different buildings collapsed in different areas of the state.The regulatory agencies need to step up and do the needful,it's one too many.

  7. They are just managing materials,,if you don't have money for storey building while not built it bungalow to avoid stories..

  9. Lagos is below sea level so ppl cannot just build anyhow and anywhere. That is why even in the prestigious areas flooding is common. Not everywhere is fitting for building and please stop letting ppl sell you their water land in dry time.
