Blackout Reportedly Looms In Lagos As Five Electricity Towers Collapse

About five electricity transmission towers collapsed on Friday in Lagos State and rgis may lead to black out in some areas....

This follows an inferno caused by a vandalized pipeline along Isheri Olofin, off Igando – LASU expressway of the state.

The fire caused massive damage to a 330kV Ikeja-West Akangba transmission line 1 and burnt off a large portion of the conductor.

This has led to total blackout in some parts of the state.

According to the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), the development triggered a resistant pull on the high-tension towers along the line route causing five of them to collapse.
