Nigerian Govt Has Reportedly Disbursed N100bn To Unemployed Nigerians

Festus Keyamo, the Minister for Labour and Employment, has disclosed that the Federal Government has disbursed N100 billion to unemployed youths and small businesses.

Keyamo disclosed that the money was disbursed to Nigerians in the last five years.

He disclosed this at an empowerment programme held in Jos, Plateau State.

Represented by Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment, NDE, Keyamo said the money was disbursed through the Development Bank of Nigeria.

He assured that the Federal Government was determined to ensure that business succeed.

According to Keyamo: “Let me inform you all that the Federal Government has put all plans in place to ensure that businesses succeed in Nigeria.

“The present administration has launched a series of funding and capacity development initiatives designed to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

“Since 2017, the Development Bank of Nigeria has disbursed a total of N100 billion through the bank’s 27 participating financial institutions (PFIs), thereby impacting more than 100,000 MSMEs.

“It is heartwarming to note that 52 percent of loans disbursed in 2019 and 2020 were to youths and women-owned businesses.”

  1. Yes, that's very true. It's even obvious everywhere, there's peace, there's money to go round, there's no riots and agitation over costs of living. In short, this govt has really done well. 🙄🙄🙄

  17. See them liars and bigots everywhere. You must be the biggest liar of the century to say that you've not heard or seen anyone who has received money from this government and you are in Nigeria. It's not possible. One above is even claiming that the recipients are mostly up north. Southerners will receive hundreds of thousands or millions from the government but they are back in the media tomorrow Insulting Buhari. What a shame

    2. Mr Eesah, the evil eye, N100b is a lot of money in a country with a population of 200million. Even if they gave it to 10 Million people, that’s a lot of money per person and the infusion of cash into the economy will have multiplier effects seen in spending by those hypothetical 10m people & the rest of the 190m people.

You seem to be here to defend looting agents all the time, I do not know if you are paid to insult the intelligence of Nigerians both home and abroad by defending looting and mediocrity. You need to stop it. Let folks speak the truth without agents of the reactionary regime trolling the real feedback on the phantom N100bn!

Truth is, every non corrupt Nigerian is subsidizing the corruption you eagerly defend. When we send school fees for relatives, healthcare and feeding money to retired parents & relatives, we are subsidizing corruption because in saner climes retirees do not need their relatives’ money so the wealth building can be generational. In saner climes, there are decent Section 8 subsidized houses for the poor to live decently and Medicaid to support their healthcare, food stamps and food pantries to ensure food security.
Nigeria is upside down as it is the rich politicians and their cronies, & contractors that are on welfare not the poor. The masses pay for their houses, their cars, their food, their healthcare etc. US senators & Congressmen rent or buy their own houses in Washington DC. Google those who sleep in their offices till they can afford a home in DC! Nigerian legislators collect more pay than the ones in the most powerful nation on earth when the GDP of Nigeria is less than that of NY or Wisconsin!

You defend those who watch young men (a 21 yr old did it last week again) plunge into the lagoon in frustration while they wine and dine on the misery of the youths? May God show you the mercy you deny the suffering masses!
Folks like you are reactionary agents sent to mingle with and neutralize the truth. Repent. God’s eyes are greater than yours. Is it not the same government we read spent $200m on mosquito nets for malaria when that can do 2 aerial sprayings to eradicate it completely? Corruption will self implode one day. Evil contains within itself the seed to self destroy and folks like you should spend your commission and shut up!

Do not bother insulting me as I have never stolen a dime of money and curse causeless backfires!
