    4. By the way, men talk about their wives more than women.

Have you heard what some men tell their sidechics about their wives? You will throw up. The silly sidechic will even believe him until it's her turn.

Have you heard what some men tell their families about their wives and still smile in the wife's face? You will throw up.

I listened to one of her sermon that women shouldn't bother about their husbands side attractions, they should rather wear clothes and do shakara in front of the side chic and she said one thing in her dialect and people started rejoicing.... really, really. Men would love that sermon with all their heart. Can she tell men not to bother about their wives side boyfriend?

This is a coping mechanism and not a cure. She gives you people secret to cope but what if coping doesn't work anymore. Are you happy sleeping all alone on your big bed seeing your youth waste while your husband is off to wherever enjoying himself, comes home once a while, barely touches you, takes you with him only for functions that he needs to show off he is respectable married man. You just answer married by mouth. The only time you see him is when he is sick, broke or very old.

Congratulations "unwoke" women. Keep treating HIV, STDs, High BP and plastering wounds instead of seeking the permanent healing and cure for it.

I am not the type to tell women to break faith and end their marriages but women like this would rather shame abused women to silence which is what was obtainable in her generation thou. Their generation of men were raised to give shit while the women were trained to pack it in silence.

Thank God for today's generation of husbands. Marriage today is garbage in, garbage out and many men have learned to love right and be responsible or get their butts kicked.

  14. Few weeks ago...she (Funk) addressed men too.

Many women castigating her need to actually sit down. Go to YouTube. Watch the video properly and think logically rather than emotionally.

Most times...when a clergy give advice on marriage. Most women that comments emotionally negatively are either bitter...have had a a troubling relationship...divorced etc.

That message she gave is not for women who are divorced or married to men who are unreasonable(which is a minute number of men).

Also....it's okay if you don't want to take her advice. If your husband who is decently good most of the time makes mistake...feel free to report him to social media. Feel free to insult him. Feel free to pack out. Feel free to divorce.

Just know that if you do...you will end up like Victoria inyama who is always bitter and posting negative stories.

Same way most women think they are managing their husband is same way your husbands are managing you.

After all...there is not much a mΓ‘n gain from marriage other than children. The rest he can get without getting married.

Sex...most men get more sex as single men than when they are married. There Are many married level headed men who are doing soapy because the wife has closed shop.

Affection: most women dont give men affection unless he brings money to the table in marriage.

So Wetin be him gain? He would be better off financially without marriage. Sef.

    3. So because Victoria spoke up, it means it's only divorced women that have issues with her.

And what's wrong with being divorced? Tell me. What's all this tag just to make what Victoria said to be less justified?

Everyone with common sense should find wrong in what she said. She is not above correction. And her sermon is mostly about women.

I could say that it's women with unhappy marriages that listens to her because she gives you the secret of coping in a bad marriage. But I am sure in 1, 2, 3, you are going to tell me how happy your marriage is.

  16. Yes, it is true. "Love covers over a multitude of sins." If you love him, you should not be eager and happy that "he failed or fails." Any wise woman should treat her family matters with utmost confidentiality. When the chips are down, the "friends" will clear. But your husband and kids are there with you all the time.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Actually when the chips are down, good friends still remain, good husband's remain, children will always remain.

Some husband pick race when the chips are down and all the women will be left with is trying to get in touch with friends she left because of the marriage.

But why the chips be down? Why can't the chips go up? Why can't she go from blessing to blessing?

Nigerians always always waiting for the chips to be down for someone and they don't know it's a wizard mentality.

  23. This is a wrong statement
    Very wrong
    Absolutely wrong.

There is no perfect person anywhere but do not cover anyone's abuse. Some of the sermon I hear from her is not Godly. What she tells women and men is ignore.

How about telling people to deal with their problems, seek help from God continuously until you become better?

Sometimes women preach because of their experiences in their own family.

There are women and men who became better through constant change because someone spoke up. Don't ever remain on the same level in life instead of crying out and seeking for help.

Dear abused men and women, don't cover anyone's abuse. Don't do that. Husbands are not scarce. It doesn't matter if your neighbor is experiencing abuse and pretending to have a perfect marriage. Don't be like her. You have a life, you have a destiny to fulfill, your children needs you, your family needs you. It doesn't matter if he married another person and they seem happy, good for them but it can be all smokes and screen

No matter what you do in Nigeria , you will have an audience and more especially if you have a title to add to it.

Choose what you listen to carefully. Anyone that their words don't match the nature of the love of God that you deserve, flee from such person and sermon.

Speaking up and walking away has saved lives.

There will always be a woman who will blindly marry him, it doesn't mean he is now a better person and something is wrong with you, No, the woman may be coping. Look at Precious case. Is there no woman with her ex? Is the woman enjoying?

Speak up and save your lives. This culture of silence has killed more than it has kept. If women can be real and speak up on their experiences but No, they are busy trying to one up on their married or single friends putting up that happy image, hailing their cheating, abusive husband all over social media, writing sweet trash for a man that is curled up with another woman. At least if you can't speak up, stop covering up and enabling him with your writeup.

  25. Her opinion though, her right too. But experience has taught me that people like her can't practice what the preach, if her hubby don't give her freedom she wants , her type will fight him to finish, so the man just dey background enjoying his peace. A man in my neighborhood specializes in sleeping with married women that their husbands are not financially capable even pregnant ones, his wife knows but will always be gisting how good he is even when not asked ooo( covering him), but guy man go get nerves go another man's house to sleep with the man's wife on their matrimonial bed, he was caught, the helpless man just beg him to do it outside with his wife and never his house again. The married women he sleep with hide it from themselves and people(covering him), now he goes about bragging how their bodies look making his wife look like a fool. Don't cover sins, it multiplies. No matter the gender, seek help on time to save yourself and partner. It's over covering of sins and taking her advice that makes couples matter reach social media, if it's handle well when small, we see life is easy, no one is perfect

  26. The quote should be read in context. The quoted words are from a full sermon or lecture. And more importantly, it is not for everyone. It is for her church members or seminar attendees. Until we read the full sermon/lecture, it is better to take the good of the quote, and let well enough alone.

Those who ask why only women are focused on These days, preachers specialize. Some people are also gifted in some matters. Clearly this preacher's ministry is targeted at women. Her husband may choose to focus on men matters. There are preachers better in matters concerning youths, or Christian finance/business, or personal development,or deliverance, etc. If you enter the church hall of a deliverance pastor, you may think, based on what you see or hear, that the whole world is full of possessed people except the preacher.

Women and men who are always defensive of each gender even on neutral matters like what the preacher said in the quote, even if that's all she said, need to check themselves. Maybe, the statement hits home with them. Otherwise, what the preacher said should not ordinarily provoke the kind of personal attack launched at her by Victoria Inyanma.

Who disagrees there is no perfect husband. How many women love their husbands telling on them on everything. When both genders are used in illustration, the truth in the preacher's words are clear beyond argument. But because her ministry is to women, she rightly referred to only women.

A preacher should not be deemed or insinuated as preaching the covering up of husbands' sins or anybody's sins unless the preacher expressly says so. Nothing in the preacher's quote says wives should cover sins beyond those the Bible says love covers.
