UPDATE ON CHRISTIAN BROTHER AND SISTER WHO WERE FIGHTING COS OF EXCESSIVE EVERYDAY GBENSHING

Yesterday(Tuesday) the husband arrested the woman who housed his wife for the night. He said she is the one teaching her bad things and wants to break their marriage. They later relapsed her that evening.

When he was at the police station with the woman he arrested, his wife's elder sister came with a vehicle and they packed her things. Husband came back and met a rude shock.
He could not believe it.

We are still looking to see if she will come back.

Meanwhile he went out yesterday evening. I hope it is not what I'm thinking ....

INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD

I never thought home schooling was possible in Nigeria despite the fact I nursed the idea until I ran into a secondary school acquaintance now friend, on the street of Instagram. She has a page where she talks about her home schooling journey and I was hooked.

I started to do my research on home schooling, joined a home schooling online group and attended virtual seminars. I had a lot of questions I needed answers to and I got them. There are questions you have to ask yourself before you commit fully few of them include,

What is my motivation? My reasons had to be spelt out clearly because home schooling can be overwhelming.

Am I a patient person? Children will test every stretch of ones patience.

How do I deal with anger? Someone with anger issues should not home school. One would risk scarring the children emotionally.

How do I handle people who won’t just let me be? There is a lot of criticism going on about home schooling, it’s not common in this part of the world and people criticise what they don’t understand.

What approach would I be using? We have Eclectic, Montessori, Classical, Unschooling and much more. I use eclectic which is a mixture of different kinds but I will be giving unschooling a try.

How long am I willing to go? For me I am not planning to go all the way just long enough for my child to be very very vocal. It is then I feel I can trust them in the regular school system because they can express themselves to me in clear terms, what is going on with them at all times.

Am I financially capable? Home schooling is more expensive than regular school mostly, because you have to buy all the materials from scratch and all.

How do I get alone(me) time?. There are so many articles about how to do this but this is one area I have failed woefully.

Am I qualified to home school? Since my kids are small and I am not going all the way, I can handle their curriculums alone but if need be, I can employ experts in certain subjects ( teachers) to help or just join up with other home schooling parents in the area who are willing to help.

What approach would be used to discipline the kids ? For me, I don’t shout when correcting in class "circle time where we run learning activities while sitting” . No matter how many time the child gets it wrong, I keep teaching and looking for better approach to pass my message across. I am my child’s safe place so I do everything to make sure learning is fun.

How do I purchase a curriculum? Depending on the educational method you want to use, one can access both paid and free curriculum from different educational organizations all over the world.

Home schooling is so broad I can keep going for hours, it’s rewarding but very hard and can be overwhelming. It should not be done on a whim. If you would like to give it a try, there is a large number of online communities that would answer all your questions and help equip you to start on the right track.

This is nice but someone like me cannot do homeschooling at all..lol

NAZIRITES INK

As a teen, my Dad hated any affairs and mingling with boys, but my Mom hated it the most. Note that, we are three girls and that may have informed their strictness.

Flash back to teen years.

I was coming from an errand that day when a guy stopped me, we stayed under the almond tree and chatted, you know all those days nowwww, when we were just developing breast, and boys would 'toast' us, haha, we were still there when I saw my Mom driving into the street, immediately she sighted me, she increased her car speed and raced after me while I in turn ran for my life, what if she had crushed me in her anger? Because of talking to ordinary boy o?? Haha.. Nigeria mothers sha.

In another case, she sneaked after me to my female friend's house, who I had hid under the guise that I wanted to go greet, of which, I was a galfriend to her male neighbor and I went to see my boyfriend. While I was still chatting with him, I heard a loud sound from behind, it was my Mom who slapped me. Ehn Ehn..
I understand that her life story was sad and she gave birth to my older sibling to another man and outside wedlock, hence the reason for her highhandedness.

Her action made me resent her for a while, I contemplated running away from home and she knew it.

Those generation parents never said "Am sorry" even when they were wrong. " Thank you" and "Please", was their enemy, in their views, it made them appear weak, but I thank God for our own generation of parents and parenting approach, thank God for education, thank God for awareness, thank God for internet.

For sure, our old generation parents loves/d us, unfortunately, their approach was destructive and archaic.

I'm grown now and my spouse and I approach to our kids upbringing is entirely different, and amazingly, its working perfectly.

Hmmm make person no remember... I tease my dad all the time about something's he did that were unbelievable.. like appearing from nowhere to land me hot cane when i am gisting with a guy innocently.... see disgrace!!!

NEW SCAM TO EMPTY BANK ACCOUNTS

She says ''I received a mail from *"EFCC"* with the details below'':

Good day,
Please kindly find
attached your invitation letter to our office on the 14Th of December 2021. All necessary details are in the attached document.

Note: Treat as urgent

Thanks
DSP samuel ajiboye
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission
Address: 15A Awolowo Rd, Ikoyi, Lagos

I was eager to know what EFCC and I have in common that warranted such invitation to their office. So, I opened the attachment and it didn't open instead it took me to my Yahoo login details.

Unfortunately, I logged in with my email and password and the attachment still didn't open. So, I left it and went to bed. This morning 13th December, a total of ₦548,900 was illegally transferred from my account.

The hackers changed my bank login details. They requested OTP for forgot password. They requested for OPT to create token seed and the bank granted them. All these transactions started from 1am today. They transferred my hard earned money to various account.

When I called customer care I was asked if I have my debit card with me and the answer was yes. The bank told me that they open a mobile app with my card on another phone to make all the transfers

Although I'm hoping that the bank will do the needful but please be alerted that scammers are daily upgrading their tactics to defraud people. *BEWARE OF SCAMMERS*

*Lesson learnt*
Do not open mail without checking the address very well.

Do not login your details if you didn't initiate it yourself

WHAT!!!!!!!.... make una see ooooooh

Honestly most pastors don't preach about love again oo,all you hear is prosperity this and that. How God will not bless you if you don't give to the church or the man of God .No more edifying words in the church again. People now start Church for business purposes.

Poster of motherhood you are really trying o,I don't think I can home school, this one they are on holiday I have shouted and down with headache already within 2 days.

Nazarite ink,the way our parents then, use to embarrass us was just too much like kilode!!.I remember the day my mother saw me on trousers (trouser was forbidden in our house then)for the first time outside the house, she just parked by side of road and smiled and drove off. This time I was already in 100 level oo.Normally she comes back from her shop in the evening like 6 or 7 and if she goes to church she will be back like 8. So I would rock my Jean around the neighborhood as University babe na, before she comes back. But that day was an exception she can back early.🙆🏼‍♀️
The beating this woman gave me I will never forget it In this life, she sat on my tummy and was hitting with me with her shoe and everything she could lay her hands oo,🤣🤣🤣🤣.

I remember my mom telling me that my elder brother used to call my father USO( meaning your father) and call her UKA ( meaning your mother) before I was born. Reason being that back then,my parents didn't have any pets names for themselves 🤷🤷🤷
For instance, she could say...kaa ke kom Uso( meaning go and greet your father)

My bro thought those were the appropriate names to call as he didn't hear any daddy and mommy being used in the house.

    1. The one with them is safe cos you alone can activate the card when you come to pick it up..

If the card with them is used illegally;there is a "session ID" or "Log Code" that can easily show from your statement where the money went to and from where it left(Card, internet banking or USSD)

If in doubt;go get the card, break it and thrash in your handbag;go back to the customer care and request for another, you only lose the money that would be debited for another card which is not up to 2k..

To be on a safe side;opt for only mobile app, before it can be activated on another device there must be an OTP sent to the number registered with the Bank account(and not email which can be compromised)..

    Have a nice day everyone.

  61. Good afternoon my yard people. How una dey??????..
I just remembered something that happened during my school days and decided to share....... That early morning, we gathered for an important announcement infront of one of our big halls. I and my very good friend were gisting and there were also some girls beside us, gisting too. We were waiting for the teachers to arrive. Those girls were soo loud, you know these secondary school happening babes, those ones that feel like they own the school and everyone knows them. Amongst them was one huge, dark and tall girl. She was a bully but she had friends that were on her good book. They were about 5 girls, so one of them was drinking tea from her flask, when the huge girl mistakenly/playfully pushed her, the tea spilled on her uniform and she became a little upset. I and my friend were just observing because the tea girl unknowingly stepped on my toes, but I didn't draw her attention because I no dey like wahala, Lol. We wanted to know what would happen next. I on the other hand had already started vexing on the tea girl's behalf because I knew the huge girl as being rough and brutal, we thought they would quarrel. But to our utmost surprise, the huge girl began to beg her seriously and the tea girl started laughing. Woooow, we were suprised. Unlike the tea girl, you must pay for messing with her, the huge girl too, she doesn't give a damn about you! So we were truly suprised. My friend and I started laughing because the tea girl laughed soo hard and we were impressed and then I said to my friend...'woow, she's laughing over this'. I knew then that they've started changing for good. The bully was just using this defense mechanism because she thought people would make mockery of her size (this I know for sure) and she joined us in SS1, So she hasn't really balanced soo well with us.
Then another thing happened..... I didn't know that the huge girl over heard me, but she got me all wrong. She walked up to me and asked me why I made that statement. Her friends followed suit and were asking her what the problem was. She told them that I told my friend that the tea girl was laughing while she was meant to pick quarrel with her. Ha!, me? When did I say so?. Me that was even happy that they are getting along soo well. Her friends started saying all sorts of things like ........ 'who even invited her, she's an enemy of progress, she's an intruder. One of them walked up to them (let's call her joy) and asked them what happened, the huge girl told her the same thing and she also started bashing me. She now said.... She doesn't even have shape. My people what has shape got to do with the issue on ground?. All my efforts to explain myself proved abortive. My friend told me to just ignore them and I did. It really hurt me because they misunderstood me and Joy said I didn't have shape m, Lol (I actually do have, then and even now😎😎😎😎).
Fast forward to a year later, they informed us in class that Joy was shot by armed robbers infront of their house. They came for her dad but shot her instead, God I cried like I've never done. I went home, knelt down and prayed earnestly for her quick recovery. I knew then that I didn't really hate her, I was only upset with the way she judged that incident the previous year. We weren't very close, but I prayed like I've never done. I asked God to forgive her sins, whatever it may be and hear my cry. I didn't realize I could be that emotional, I was just thinking....what if this girl dies, what will I say, that my enemy died? God forbid!!. Few days later, I followed her sister to hospital and stayed a while with her before I left. To God be the glory, she recovered fully and came back to school. I was soo happy and we always greeted whenever we crossed path in school, till we left. We became friends but not best friends... 🥰🥰💕💕 I just remembered it and decided to tell my tale. 💋💋

So after all the drama, na malaria dey worry me? At some point, I thought I have contracted Covid. Jesus! I have never been this sick in my whole adult life.

@Ijeoma's Gist corner, the things that are happening these days in churches eh! Sometime last year, my mum took me to a man gives herbs to women who are TTC, when we got there, the place was looking like a native doctor's shrine. I used my dialect to tell my mom that I was not comfortable. The next thing, this man said if I am not comfortable with the home treatment, I can come to his church in Enugu. Apparently, this man is a native doctor in the village from Monday to Thursday, and a 'pastor' from Friday to Sunday in the city. It is well ooo
