Nigerian Pastor Fatoyinbo Says Hustling Is A Curse..

Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, popularly known as COZA, has alleged that it is difficult for Igbos to donate money to the church despite their claim of believing in God.

Speaking during a sermon at his church in Abuja, Fatoyinbo, however, said they have large hearts but do things at their will.

According to the popular preacher, who said that hustling is a curse, some persons find it difficult to give because of how much they hustled to get the money.

He said, “The Igbo believe in God. It takes God for an Igbo guy to give. They have a large heart but -they believe you shouldn’t work their mind.

“Igbos are 90 per cent Christians but no megachurch. You need to tear backgrounds to enter some testimonies. No Church with a Yoruba pastor takes more Igbo songs than COZA. Hustle is a curse! Are you a hustler?

“Some people find it hard to give because they hustled to get that money. In the name of Jesus, hustle has ceased in your life”.

    1. But we toil and suffer sometimes to make money...it also depends on what you mean by suffering which is objective. Waking up in the cold winter morning to hop on the bus or train for a 20mile journey to a factory where I pack frozen bacon, chicken and sausages can be termed as suffering...but at least it pays my bills and gets me through Uni while I await a better job, with the means to get a car, so I do not have wait to catch the bus or train in the cold, winter mornings and nights(sic).

  8. I don't know the angle this man is really dishing out his word but it's good to learn.

    Hustle has different meaning.

HUSTLE : mean illicit, doing things illegally to get money.

It also mean to push roughly.

HUSTLE: also mean an energetic action made towards achieving a goal.

If a lady says, should we hustle for few euro or naira( if you are a scholar, u might tend to ask few questions because the word hustle goes alongside with prostitution.

    5. Correct. Hustle originally was not used to define legitimate work.

So describing one's self as a hustler could be self indicting πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘

    7. Real shalaye. You could see from your definition that it can be positive or negative. What's the point of the definitions?
If you want to believe the pastor was referring to the negative type of hustle (which I don't believe he was), why then would he want them to give him their ill gotten wealth?

Yes, Igbos are hustlers. No one will dispute they work hard to make a living. Go to main market and see how hard these young men work. He expects them to hand over their toil and sweat because he claims he is a " man of God" so he can buy more cars and jets while they slap the streets in leggedese Benz? Most Igbos are also Catholics so let him keep trying to lure them. From his youth gathering in Ibadan to a Mega church in Abuja, who is the hustler? Nonsense.

      Delete
  9. Non sense. What has tribe got to do with giving? Saying his Church plays more Igbo songs is segregation. He should do what he called himself to do and that is preach and leave people alone whether they give or not. It should not be by force.

  34. Igbos don't need a megachurch. Someone that was born in a manger need not a megachurch to dwell. Megachurches are neither a proof of God's presence nor a proof of spiritual superiority. They mostly only serve the Pastor's ego, bragging rights and all. We have enough megachurches, its time for megafactories and megahospitals. Hapu ndi Igbo aka.

Go and read about the Roman centurion that built synagogue for the Jews and they told Jesus Christ about it when the Centurion"s servant needed healing.

You can also read about Cornelius who was also a Roman centurion that gave much alms and prayed 3 times a day.
Jesus Christ himself sent Apostle Peter to go and preach the gospel to Cornelius and his whole kinsmen so they could make heaven.

GOD SEES & JUDGES THE HEART.

  37. Well, I beg to disagree though. Most Igbos are Catholics and Anglicans and haven't really welcomed the other side.
Come to the East and see the Cathedrals individuals are singlehandedly building, aside the general contributions done for the work of the gospel.
Igbos are just wise enough not to put their money into private businesses, and give appropriately when it demands because most Igbos are business men before y'all wreck or take advantage of them.
In fact, it's wrong to assume Igbos don't give. In fact, on a general note, I haven't seen a tribe that gives to the gospel like the Igbos. Giving to the gospel isn't about money. Y'all have really turned this gospel thing into Money talks. I spent time in the North and I can say most Catholic Churches and even other Churches aside the natives Churches like ECWA domiciled in the north were built from the contributions of Igbos who are usually the largest tribe in number. Alot of young Igbo men are priests, same with their daughters who are reverend sisters, and brothers. They evangelise where people won't even step their feet. Lots of mission work going on. This is the greatest contribution.✅

  38. Biodun Fatoyinbo, I AM IGBO and thoroughly scolded my nephew 4 years ago to stop attending your COZA when he mentioned you used to send a bus to Law School, Abuja to ferry them to your COZA.

Like a sensible IGBO SON, HE STOPPED attending and it wasn't long before your shenanigans burst open.

We, NDI IGBO are raised well in our Roman Catholic, Anglican, Presbyterian and Methodist Churches. We start from childhood to attend Catechism, Sunday Schools and do Cofirmation into the Body of Christ and start taking Holy Communion.
When we get born-again, it is right in our home churches and if we choose to attend any other church, we are careful not to fall for the ones with wolves in sheep's skin.

Everyone cannot wake up and claim to be called - by which God.
The God I know set things in order even from the day He called Abraham. It's not all this people claiming to be men of God everywhere like mechanics without spanners we see all over the place.

We cannot have our IGBO children blown about by every wind of the doctrine.
A lot of lizards lay on their stomach and we don't know the one that has bellyache.

You cannot be more Catholic than the Pope.

We, NDI IGBO cannot be CONNED of our hard-earned money.
If you are looking for *EGO NDI IGBO*, 'a-sorrrr....!' efe adurooo!

So they believe you are a thief and a conman to be expecting pay out from them. It doesn't help that your kind of doctrine is on every street corner in Nigeria where most pastors called themselves.
