INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD



My Christmas 2021 was more satisfying than I imagined. My son’s first birthday came a day before Christmas and I had to do almost everything myself, I was so exhausted but happy.

On Christmas day itself I practically did nothing and every one ate from the party’s left over because I refused to cook, abi now I can’t come and kill myself. It was nice having most of my family members over, it took me back to childhood.

 My step daughter was so bored, she kept pacing and asking to run errands, I couldn’t help but smile because I know she wanted to show off her Christmas clothes. I did that as a child too.

The day ended well and I resumed cooking by making a very large breakfast for the whole house on boxing day, my sisters kept asking what was the good news that would make me wake up so early and cook such a large meal for everyone. It was just that, I was so deeply grateful that I had my family around and I was happy. 

Slept exhausted .....

We go visit naija families wey return from their naija holidays, Everyone nai know the reason of their visit...My own be say i dey always hope for free dry fish and some ogbono.

D tory na about d mighty NAIRA ( hian dem don return again wit their tales of woe) how everything cost n bla bla..

Make una hold a second said mi. D Naira no be una mate oo... Currency wey una say e nor worth nothing, even without leaving naija, e nor fear una euro, Sterling, dollars,..E tanda dey wait make una change the foreign money.

As una come down from Plane the naira don ready for u. 

 D free trolley go turn to payment becos u nor get naira to slot in, U come go change foreign money, dem pack plenty naira for ur hand, Ur thought be say khai the money plenty oo .NA LIE.

D Trolley man nai begin the subtraction, from that time na so so minus every money weh you change go dey see.

D money you carry enter naija, naira don take everything from u. BUT u fortunate to see 2 or 3 naira banknotes weh clean and new, you keep am to show your oyibo friends, LAI LAI, Custom n immigration say wer u dey go wit dis small dry fish, Nigerians nor get to eat, u dey carry am go. 

U dey argue, u won lose ur flight, so u come give the new naira bank notes to dem.

Hurrah the NAIRA don win ooo, u dey board your flight without the strong forex u brought to Naija. U still dey think say the Naira na weak money?????

Well dem nor give me neither dry fish or ogbono, next time i go keep quiet.
