Queen Of Nollywood Genevieve Nnaji Shares New Photos + Why She Is A Game Changer

Queen of Nollywood Genevieve Nanji has shared new photos for her 8.5 million followers on Instagram .....

In case you want to argue with my headline..... Please know that this woman changed the face of the movie Industry Narrative in Nigeria to a positive one.

Abi make i speak Pidgin? She be game changer!

All the movies she acted in turned to gold for the movie producers.. She was the most wanted actress (still is!) and her movies opened the doors for Nollywood movies Internationally.

Magazines sold out if she is on cover back then and if she makes a new post on Instagram now, her colleagues and followers makes it a big deal......

Forget all the noise making on Instagram, a real Queen does not need to say anything before she is applauded.... #noshade

  1. She had 8.2 million followers when she unfollowed everyone, now she has 8.5 mil and counting. Do the math.

Simplicity is the untimate form of sophistication.

    2. IVF mother,go back and watch her old movies. She excellently interpreted every role.talk about versatility and finesse. Just like ma'am Stella said up there, she remains one of the most sought after actresses till date. Now if that doesn't define "Queen of Nollywood" to u,then u are a pure hater.talmbout "she isn't all that good" .πŸ˜’

    3. Anon 9.47 Her old movies were okay.

If I'm to use Lionheart and Mirror boy to judge, I would say I consider her acting stiff. That's my opinion which I am entitled to. That also doesn't change the fact that she is a much loved and respected celebrity.

FYI, there is a difference between IVF and Surrogacy, are you trying to take shots at her by calling her ivf mother? If so, that's downright petty.

    4. Whether the hype is much or not, I like her. Oyibos that used to hype their own nko? Why can't we hype ours. She really changed the movie Ind narrative. If Genny is not in the movie so many people won't buy. Early 2000 n late 1990s. She's indeed a Queen.

      Her name is NWA-AMAKA

It's surrogate mother not Ivf mother.
I'm not a hater, I love and respect her.and I'm entitled to have my own opinion.

      Do have a great day

    6. Anon 09:47, you just displayed your stupidity with the IVF mother stunt. A surrogate mother is one who carries a pregnancy for someone who has issues carrying one. A surrogate mother is fertile and willing to help ttc women achieve their dreams of being mothers.
You actually think you are bringing her down by calling her IVF mother 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣
You don't even know the difference between surrogacy and IVF 🀣🀣🀣🀣 I'm sure you are one of those saucy small boys and girls we have here.

    7. 9:47, I recognize this your handwriting. You said Ma'am Stella?
You have come again with your rudeness. You can't tackle anyone who opposes your queen without insult. Is IVF a disease, you will make those who want to consider it to be sad now. Olodo. Go and Google search surrogate and IVF.
My queen, ma'am Stella, aunty Stella, momma, momma🀣🀣🀣🀣. B&R come and warn your child o

    11. Genevive's acting was good back then. However, her recent movies and roles are boring. Yes, her acting has become stiff and she needs to improve. Versatility is the key word.

Did she make an impact in Nollywood? Yes.

I like that she keeps her personal life off the public space. That's the intrigue.

  6. my question is, since she unfollowed everyone, if everyone unfollows her will there still be need for her to be on Instagram? The pictures she posted I'm sure is for her followers to see, which of her followers photos will she see. 'Follow me but I can't follow you'?

  7. My Genny! Perfect role model
    Na woman you be nne!

    1. You got that right. There were even better actresses before her time but some people are destined to herald a new era. That's just what happened to Genevieve - fate.

Liz Benson is a better interpreter of roles.
There were some good actresses that pioneered Nollywood but time and chance favoured Genevieve.

Another thing that stands to her credit is how she manages her PR and keeps her private life on the low.

      That's smart.

Gene acting is so stiff, she is a beautiful black skin girl and she keeps her life very private but other than "oyinbo people also hype their own" i don't see anything spectacular about her acting.
Giving the new(few) crop of good actors/actresses we have, gene cannot stand near them in acting anymore.
      I said what i said.
      Its my opinion.

  22. Stella, you are very right! No Nigerian actress can compete with Genevieve when it comes to how they reigned in their own time.

Genevieve reigned, abeg. She was everywhere! Any movie that had her face on it, was completely sold out! That was when Ghanaians and other African countries started rushing Nigerian movies!

I bought lots of her movies and I still have them. She's a great actress.

Some of her movies I love so much are:
Emergency Wedding with Clarion Chuwurah and Tony Umez.

    Prophecy with Charles Okafor.

Breakup with Ramsey Nouah , Rita Dominic and Jennifer Eliogu.

    Darkest night with RMD.

    Love affair with Emeka Ike.

    Rising Sun with Kenneth Okonkwo.

    How many I wan mention?

Genevieve really act, abeg. Forget haters.

I can say she's the most celebrated Actress and I love her.

  27. One thing about commenters on this blog is that they easily get carried away with emotion. Genevieve has a particular style of delivery which fits certain roles perfectly but not all. That's why some consider her acting stiff; and for that matter, no real match for many more versatile actresses in the industry. Say she was a game changer for YOU 'cos truth to tell, there are plenty of contenders for that status.

Next time u guys feel the need to hype, PLEASE come with ur facts and figures. Talk is cheap.
