DeleteAbout the babymama thing...it's good to be selfish sometimes and do something for yourself but, how about the poor baby you will be bringing to the world? If you think it through and you truly believe you can make up for both dad and mum for the child, ok.

ReplyDeleteI'm yet to understand why a woman would prefer to have a baby with a man but not want to be with any man. As in, why not have the baby on your own and by yourself without involving a man at all? As in, no need to marry and have a baby with your partner..just magically impregnate yourself and leave men out of this nonsense. 🙄🙄
ReplyDeleteI am a man, I would prefer to have a baby with a WOMAN, take care of the baby but not want to be with any WOMAN.I can take very good of my kids without a woman. But then again, I believe a child needs the presence of both parents.

ReplyDeleteSince you spilled it, I will also spill my opinion; from what I know from God's laws, the Scriptures.
You see, single parenthood happens; divorce, widowhood, separation etc. God helps these people and he defends them.
Psalms 68:5 A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.
But for someone to just wake up with clear eyes and go and fornicate and get babies, it is still sexual immorality.
I do not know anywhere in God's Word where that is supported; if you know teach me. That simply is not God's idea of a family
or how kids should be raised.

DeleteGbam! And in forcing that calendar sometimes you miss out on destiny. If Sarah had been just a little patient, Ishmael wouldn't have happened. I think life isn't perfect, everyone will have some cross to bear, whether it's visible to the public or not. For instance some who desire to marry/give birth, will struggle with getting married and some will TTC. Unfortunately these ones are visible crosses. Others may have family and struggle with building a career, business, wealth. Funny enough some will have it all and struggle with mental health or depression (and the public will not know until suicide happens). Some will have nothing and be blessed with long life. Some will have everything early and die early. Some will struggle with a bad marriage or special needs child. Some marry early and ttc for years. Some marry late and their wombs are open immediately cos they already suffered in waiting. So pls do not sin in a hurry to gain what is not yours at that time. That does not mean that righteous ones don't suffer too cos they do, but their suffering is meaningful cos it leads to victory. Cos to them, this world is not their home hence no desire to have it all at any costs. May God grant us grace to make the right choices and patience to receive his good gifts.

Something that can competely mar a womans reputation and future in such a climate as Nigeria. Imagine if someone said that about you.

I guess you didn't read what she said very well. She didn't say she does not like marriage. In fact she clearly said she used to be pressured about getting married. But she has come to that point where she is not willing to settle and marry just any man. She will only marry if she meets the right man for her. She would rather be a single parent than marry for marrying sake.
