ReplyDeleteStudies have shown that women are more likely to stay when their spouse contracts a terminal illness or become permanently disabled while men had a higher chance of leaving. We just have that nurturing and caring spirit.

DeleteThe man didn't put himself in the best position in this case. It would have been more honorable of him to wed her when they were making babies and he had options and would have been choosing her above others instead of stringing her on. Now that he is bedridden, it is obvious he is getting married to secure a night nurse and piggy bank. This is a lesson for everyone.
