You can't connect to the source which is God without following any of the messengers He sent, from Abraham all the way down to Muhammad. You need to go through them and the Heavenly books He sent via them before getting to the source. Don't bobo yourself
DeleteHmmm...Eesah, that is not so true. Religion is just a very small aspect of spirituality. It is so wide and encompassing that it has no boarders. It is infinite. In fact, religion as you discribed restricts and limits the vastness as it encourages discrimination which is the opposite of what LOVE is. You noted that it has to be the right one...that is where the problem lies because it will make you categorise another human being who does not share the same faith with you. You need to grow till your mind comes to grasp the true essence of humanity.

DeleteIs there any proof that prayer works? I used to pray and fast a lot in righteousness but no results. I've also seen people that prayed for years without positive results too. Right now, I'm of the belief that what will be will be. Live a cheerful life and pray less. But as for spirituality, I know for certain that there are several spiritual powers and forces ruling this universe and there are people that can harness those powers to cause so much harm to others. They may claim they can use those powers to do good but it's not true. It's easier to destroy than to build. Native doctors/herbalists always destroy. They rarely do good. Yes, I believe there's God and there are other gods. What I don't know is why God created this world and allowed humans to have the power to use evil spirits to wreck havoc on others.

If you are convinced other people have power over you and your God will fold his hands, why the hell are you starving yourself? Kill and eat because you have a firm belief that there is no point. Have you considered that the reason you are not seeing results is because there is nothing to see since the problem you are convinced that you have doesn't exist?
DeleteYour many posts remind me of the elephant that is held down by a thread simply because he has been conditioned from birth to believe that he can't set himself free or the lion that looks in the mirror and sees a pussycat. You have to reform/transform your mind by knowing who you already are in God.
Seek professional help and get rid of these false beliefs that are limiting you.
Jesus said not to pray with so many words. His prayer for all humanity was but a few sentences. People who pray and fast and go to vigil because of the fear of cats created by God or women who are old or ill aren't doing all that from faith but fear. That's why the demon they bound in Thursday night vigil would be roaming free by Sunday service or whenever a "powerful" prophet comes for programme from the UK/USA.
What actions are you taking as a child of God sharing in his power of co-creation? How are people able to defeat the name of God or harm someone whose life is hidden in God? How can you believe so much in dark powers but lack belief in the power of light? As many stated yesterday sis, seek professional help. See a psychiatrist. Please 🥺
