    1. Yes!

      Back in 2008 or 2009.
I was invited for GTB aptitude test. So, I went to naira land to look for tips on the types of questions I would be expecting.
That's how one user posted that he has past questions and should be contacted.
Las las, he made me send 5k zain (now airtel) airtime and sent me rubbish.
Immediately I opened the email and saw the questions I knew I had been scammed.
Shame nor let me tell anybody.

  2. The only scam experience that comes to mind is that time I bought a UK used blackberry bold 5 back then in 2011, only to find out that phone does not have BBM or it had but I couldn't access it, and what's a blackberry device without the bbm? 😹.
I disturb the guy that sold the phone to me wella and was able to recover part of the money at least, it also helped that I bought it from a relatively known person who still had a name to protect.

  5. Stella I have to go anonymous on this. After I got married to my husband, within 4-6yrs he lost about 4 of his siblings/half siblings, before the last one died, I became worried, it dawned on me that it's never ordinary,So I asked one of my friend that attends a spiritual church to take me to her church. I was given prayers to do, and asked his family to do Deliverance. In summary she now knows my story. So fast forward to three months, one "Pastor" started coming to my plaza to preach, after some weeks, he came into my shop said the Lord asked him to minister to me, he started telling me about this my husband family issue, and said if I don't do the work he will ask me to do that it will be my husband's turn before another year(then),I spent 95k in doing all that he asked of me to do. In conclusion, after some months I later discovered that it was that my friend that told him everything. I've cut ties with her. Am in a new plaza now, if you are man of God and after that their preaching and you want to come and message/pray for me, you won't even cross my step. I hate them like plague now. I don't even attend prayer house again. So I was scammed period!!!

  6. There's one man that used to call me and explain himself how he lived in my area before and how he is blessed now with a big job and need people, I will tell him am not interested, thanks and hang call. After some months again he will call with another number, a bigger job, same response by me. One day ,he called, after another story of international job, I called him by his name and ask him when he will stop scamming because he already has grey private hairs and still on it, he got angry called me names and end call. Since years now, he never called me. Later I heard stories of how he scammed people. Aside hypnotized, na greed dey make one fall prey in their hands.

  8. Happened to me. One popular music artist in the East was my inlaw's friend. He visited my inlaw and said to my hearing that there was job vacancy in NSCDC. Being jobless I jumped into the conversation and asked him for the details. He gave me the phone number of the person that will help me, said he's based in Abuja. Before I knew it, I was already convincing my fiance to pay 61,000 for the employment, for both of us. He paid and that was how the man later said we should pay additional 36,000 for uniforms. I almost shed tears because it dawned on me that this was a scam. I continued sending him text messages insulting him but the money was gone. Very sad! I was also duped of 150k during my search for internship. And to think the money was borrowed.

    1. As a job seeker, you are not supposed to pay for a job. If anyone asks you to pay, tell them that they should lend you the money and remove it instalmentally from your salary after you get the job. That is what I used to tell them and they will move on to the next victim.

  10. I was scammed oh here. Me that felt I was too smart to be scammed because every single method they used in Nigeria to try, I was quick up decode it but this one ehn, I didn't suspect at all.

So when we moved to this our apartment newly, the kitchen came with a gas stove but my husband said it would be cheaper for us if we used electricity, so we removed the gas cooker and installed an induction hub.

The has cooker just laid idle for about a year so I figured I should just cell it and use the money for something.

Na so I take place advert for olx.

One person now contacted me and said he was interested but he lived about 3 hours away so he would use like a delivery company to come pick it up then deliver to him but that I would get my money from the delivery company before I release the package. I said OK.

So he then sent me a link with a form to fill with the exact name of the delivery company and looked so legit where I would include the price of the item I'm selling with my account details so that I could get paid.

    Mumu me started filling form.

So when I got to the part where I was to input a figure, I put 90 euros which was the amount I was selling the gas stove. Upon clicking submit, the thing would not go through. When I tell him, he will tell me to try again and I will do that.

Eventually he told me to stop putting the price of the item but to put the total amount I have in my account. Hian! I said for what na! I have never seen a payment that requires me to fill in the amount on my account and I told him I couldn't do that.

At this point, I was not even suspicious yet, I was still trying to do it with the 90 euros. Something just told me to go check my account balance only to see a debit of 111 euros.

I told him and he was like it's probably a temporary hold and the money would be refunded shortly. He said I should try and fill the form again with my total account balance and if I don't get a reversal for the 111 euros, he will pay me back himself.

I started to worry then I put a temporary block on my card from the app and I immediately called my bank. The CC immediately told me that debit wasn't a temporary hold and that I had been scammed. He immediately blocked my card do no other amount could be lost. He be like say dem pour me cold water.

I started raining curses on the guy and he kept telling me to keep trying it that the money would be reversed. As if!

I sha counted my losses and was still happy it was just 111 euros that was stolen. I wondered if they wouldn't have wiped my account if I had filled in my exact account balance.

Later in the night, I told my sis in New Zealand what had happened and she advised me to call my bank. She told me about one of her clients that was defrauded about 18,000 dollars and the bank paid her back in full.

So I called my bank and reported the issue and the promised to look into it. Two weeks later, I got my full reimbursement.

Recently, I tried to sell my baby's bouncer on Facebook and one idiot came with the same format. Immediately he sent the form, I just sent him a voice note calling him a thief and a scammer and insulted the life out of him. He never replied again.

Now, I no dey sell again. Make I dey look my things till I see someone physically who is interested in buying.

To think that everyone/everywhere is quiet about this and people licking their wounds/greed.
I didn't do mmm, but they said this one is forex and not like mmm, where nothing is being traded for something.
May we be wiser and may such not happen again.

  12. I have never been scammed in my life but this week one idiot called me from India and she said I had ordered Amazon prime I told her cancel it then she said I should go into my App Store and download an app called zoro straight away I knew it was scam because where did zoro and Amazon meet I told her she is a scammer and cut the call. The idiot called me back saying they will take money from my account and Amazon won’t pay back I told her that’s not my main account and cut the call. I quickly moved all my play money from that account into another. I deleted my bank details from my Amazon and set up a 2step security on my Amazon account and reported the scammer to Amazon. I also googled it and it’s a known scam thank God for saving me they would have cleared my account.

  14. I have never been scammed. Just criminals around using my name and pictures online to scam people. Some of them claimed that they know me or have dated me. I thought it was ignorance maybe they don't understand what dating means cos I don't know them or have ever had anything with them and can never stoop too low to date such nuisances. All their intention is to get close to those that know me using my name as a friend while trying to dupe them.
This has been going on for year,I keep sending warnings to friends to beware of these criminals.
They claimed that they are smart but keep perishing in foolishness.

  15. Met senior yemisi my senior in secondary school in Aguda after a long time looking about 20yesrs older. She said she had a shop on the island where she sold clothes and that her Jeep was parked not too far from there. She also said she's a deaconess in RCCG. Two days later, she came to my house n said her dad had just died n that he was a muslim. She said she had just bought goods worth 7 million which was all she had.
She borrowed 25k n promised to pay back I saw her off to the express where she entered ojota bus. She stopped picking my calls n when she did she would tell me she would call me back which she never did. later I searched for her on FB. I contacted her sis who became the mediator. It's most annoying when I discovered her dad died about 40years ago n that she didn't have any shop. She actually scams for a living. She eventually sent 13k to me out of 25k n stopped picking my calls.
I hope she knows she's smart in a negative way I wasn't the fool but she is. She saw my bedridden mother yet did that to me. I hope she knows ppl don't help others cos of ppl like her. I hope she knows I will keep posting till she pays back the money.
