''My friend had a very laughable yet terrible experience recently. He planned a date with a girl he thought would be his 'last bus-stop', a month after they were introduced by a mutual friend.
My friend bought new shoes and tie just because of the date. He also fixed a good restaurant in one of the finest hotels in Ikeja GRA. On the D-Day-they met, had a kiss and everything was going smoothly as their discussion shifted from fashion to romance and opinion about low key and high profile weddings .
The bill was running too. He was up to the task. He works as his father's PA in a food distribution company. Suddenly, babe spoke with her friends on the phone. Two of them arrived within 30 minutes, took the order book. Ordered for bottle of wine and also ate to their satisfaction.
This is a restaurant that my friend and the babe alone would have spent about 50,000 already for their food and bottle of wine. This is what they call invitation without consultation. I am comfortable not stupid, he later told us. He felt the babe was disrespectful calling her friends to meet up at the venue of their date and guess what?...you don't even know how much this guy had on him or financial plan.
My friend played along as they asked him about work and all that. When it was time to leave, he told them, he was going for a meeting. He sorted his bill and that of his date only! Gbam! That was when issue started. The babe felt embarrassed. Her friends bill are over 50k. Buffet per person alone is N11,000 depending on the time of the day. A bottle of wine cost depends on your choice. Then, add money for Chapman and other things. He was blunt. "I did not invite them." It was embarrassing.
It almost turned into argument. He excused himself, drove out of the place without looking back. She sent my friend a stinker and called to abuse him repeatedly. That one replied with "I would rather give that money to beggars on the street". I know my friend can afford to pay. His father is 'old money'. The man can not read A to Z but has chain of businesses. I guess, he just wanted to prove a point''

DeleteI bought a new dress for the date i never knew the label was hanging out all through. To think we met his friends and their spouse at the prestigious Eko Hotel, he was the one that saw the very big label and cut it out at dinner.

DeleteI had a date recently dat I won't pray for my enemy to experience it. This guy invited me to justrite. In Justrite, there are malls and restaurants. When I went to country kitchen ,d restaurant located inside justrite. This guy started gisting with me without bothering to ask what I cared for. I met him on Tinder he didn't even order for a bottle of water for me. I just dey vex inside my mind.Thank God I have my money I went to to the waitress and ordered for 3spoons of Jollof rice and meat and bottled water. When the guy saw me eating jollof rice without looking at his face. He started telling me how he eat point and kill catfish at a popular bar. D guy accompanied me to d bus I went home I pointed his fault to him on Whatsapp cus I didn't let him know I was angry and he started sending me rubbish emoji a 35 yrs old man looking for a wife. I blocked him immediately.

ReplyDeleteI think I've shared mine here few months ago. It's not my first date, but that's the one I remembered and it's our first date together.
So I've been talking to this guy for a while, everything was smooth. He has been asking me for a date and I kept giving excuses. One day, I made up my mind to go out with. Honestly, I was considering a relationship with him, he seemed so serious and into me. He came to pick me up and then we left for the restaurant. We had gone half way when we met a little traffic jam. Suddenly, a commercial bus driver blocked us in front. Truth be told, the bus guy was at fault but as a gentleman or so I thought, I expected him to just allow the guy pass just to avoid unnecessary trouble. Do you know that this guy switched off the ignition, wound down the drivers seat and relaxed like he was in his sitting room, thereby causing more traffic jam. God, I kept begging this guy to be the mature one, move so that this guy could pass, he refused. Infact, he became a little aggressive. The bus driver was on the other end, cusssing us both, calling me ashewo that I couldn't tell my customer to shift 😂😂😂😂.
Finally the bus guy left our way and we passed. Immediately we left the scene, I just told him to take me back or allow me to go down. After much persuasion, nna he took me home oo and that was the end of it. He kept calling until he got tired. I no fit

Delete'my friend' have many stories to tell about this bring of friends to a date,. Many funny gist but I don't have strength to type. But I made sure the girl learnt her lesson not to ever try such with anyone next time..
Let's talk about a similar one like yours, many years back, I took this girl to Mr Biggs, the cashier hustled me, increased the price of everything cos she felt I won't talk cos I was with a girl and would want to form big boy. So I paid with my card, told her to bring the receipt and also a print out of everything I bought. Na so talk begin enter, she say the computer no dey print out say she go use biro write am.. I say make she go call her manager come.. she just stand for there dey look me, the babe I was with was now begging me to leave her- "Dante please leave her because of me", e be like say make I nod this babe, which kind yeye talk be that, because of you as per Wetin, if na your money you go leave am? If as we commot for there now I no give you tfare say na the money wey you say make I leave, you go gree🙄..
I sha just be a gentleman man let everything go.. but I couldn't forgive myself for like a week. I hate to be cheated on, it was the playing on my intelligence by the cashier that angered me the most, just like she was calling me a fool🤦
A similar stuff happened upper Saturday night here when I went to handout with my doc friend who came around and his friends. Let me not mention the lounge name cos their manager had to come beg us to forgive the sales girl that tried to hustle us cos she thought we would be so high to notice she added 10k to the bill. They always use the same format, they'll write the bill with biro and bring instead of bringing the print out..

Met this girl while doing morning workout. We talked and fixed a date. We get the venue and when it was time to order, mama said I should also order for my in laws and I let her know I will do that another time. Mama said I should lend her money to buy them asun that she didn't come out with much cash. Few days after, I asked for my asun loan and mama goes you're quite stingy. I let her know its not a case of stinginess rather I like people whose word is their bond. I sha deleted her number some women and beggy beggy attitude sucks
ReplyDeleteAfter a week of talking, We had a 4pm movie date, guyman came to pick me at 2pm and said he had an unexpected meeting with someone at a nearby location, I kukuma follow guyman hoping that after his meeting then the movie date, omo na So I see myself for hotel o, oga enter room start to yarn dust, I was angry and beyond embarrassed, oga sef dey form vex and said I was acting too childish then he angrily transferred Uber fare for me, and told me to find my way back to wherever I came from, I carried my two left legs and ran as fast as I could ehn, never again!!!
