    2. The boy was probably tired of going back and forth btw his parents. Mother will say Go and meet ur father, father too will reject him and say go and meet ur mother. Alot of kids from divorced parents often feel rejected, isolated and dont feel they belong in a particular home especially if d parents have remarried . They feel like a burden. This isnt just abt 50k RIP

Insensitive father. How much be 50k compared to the loss of a child now???

I hope he can live with himself knowing why his son departed from the world like that.

  3. I hope someone did not kill him and hanged his body to make it look like suicide. Lazy Nigerian police will not do a thorough investigation. I still remember that story of yesterday where that evil couple beat their maid to death and hung her body claiming she committed suicide.
Then the Ilorin wife too that was allegedly poisoned and killed by her husband and in-laws, then they said she drank snipper because her husband wants to marry another wife

    1. I hate it when people assume the police don't know their job and start saying someone that committed suicide was murdered. The police can very well differentiate suicide from murder like you mentioned. The reason for the suicide was also stated.

    2. 12:50 why do you believe that is the reason for the supposed suicide? Did the deceased leave a suicide note or he told you that before he died? Mtcheeew. Olopa abeg shift!

  7. What does him committing suide have to do with his dad not giving him the money he requested??

In one breathe, you tell women in abusive marriages to leave their husbands...yet in the next breathe, make remarks like "this is one of the side effects of having divorced parents"!!

What if an abused spouse sees your comment and decides to stay, so that their kid/s will not "kill" themselves later!!!

As if having parents that are still married would lead to the dad giving him the 50k Naira.

    If the dad doesn't have...he doesn't have!!

All the skit makers advertise/influence these betting platforms. Maybe he was in debt! Maybe he wanted to impress a girl! Maybe he put his money into a ponzi scheme and has been defrauded. None of these reasons have to do with having divorced parents, Stella!!!

  12. You people should stop blaming the father. What if the father did not have the money requested for? What if the son was in the habit of spending money recklessly? When you were growing up, was it everything you asked for that your parents gave you?

  13. This is quite unfortunate. Life on earth can put undue pressure on ppl, so many give up hope when there is no place to turn and all doors are closed. I say a prayer for him because he did not choose to do the abominable and hurt anyone or do anything diabolical, he chose the most honorable path in his eyes. I hope he finds peace wherever his soul is. Earth life can be excruciatingly panful even to the very young. May all pain be removed from this place one day.

  14. Stella, you claim that suicide is a consequence of divorce but I disagree. This view is what keeps people like Osinachi in marriages that should never have happened.

The source of bitterness in a nasty divorce is a person you should actually regret marrying. Punishing children for a split proves that the other person deserves their freedom.

To me, underlying mental illness and bitterness due to a bad split is what may have led this poor boy to make this decision. Splitting a family can be done so well that both parents are civil. This is easier when the state holds the financial needs of a child as important instead of telling men to drop 5 thousand a month so they can afford to marry again and breed kids they can't afford to train. A bit of family therapy and perhaps prophylactic medications (SSRIs) and a suicide hotline may have saved this boy's life but as usual, we blame parents for facing reality and ending the nightmare of a failed marriage so their kids can live in peace.

The late boy just needed tools on how to handle pressure but he succumbed to his anxieties instead.
