EkweremaduGATE - Brother Of Alleged Victim Of Organ Trafficking Says His Brother Is 25 Years And Not 21 As Reported..

The younger brother of David Ukpo Nwanmini, an alleged victim of organ trafficking, involving Nigeria's Senator Ike Ekwerrmadu and his wife, Beatrice, in the United Kingdom, said his sibling is 25 year-old and not 15 years old claimed by the British Police.

The brother, Jonathan Ukpo Nwanmini, who claimed to be 22 years old, said

”David is my elder brother, we are both of the same father with different mothers and we hail from Ebonyi State. I will be 22 years old by next month and David is 25 years old. I am aware that he travelled because he told me. He did not disclose the country he was travelling to. He simply told me he was going to school abroad.

After some months of not hearing from him, I got his number from his girlfriend and called him. I asked about his studies and work.
He said it was fine, but that he was not working yet, as he needed to go to school first before he could be given a working paper. I told him about our dad who was not feeling fine.

This was the conversation we had this month since January when he travelled. He was staying with us here in Ikotun before he left. We both sell phone accessories. We spoke last week. We even spoke again this week.”

The newspaper quoted another businessman in Ikotun, who pleaded anonymity as saying that: “David left Nigeria in January. He told us that someone promised to sponsor his education in the UK. He never mentioned the name of the person, but from what I have read online, it might be that the person was an intermediary between David and the former Deputy Speaker.”

  1. Someone definitely tutored this organ donor boy. Dunno who is truthful. Either he was coerced into agreeing to donate, then chickened out due to fear or someone gave him the idea and guided him on what to do.

    1. When will people understand the age of the donor is not even the only issue, either is it their only charge...They are still facing Organ trafficking charges. Except someone is your blood relative, or on their Organ transplant list their laws start getting dicey. A donor cannot be brought into the country and promised anything( whether education or better life,or money). It cannot be commercialized.
Will post Ronaldas link with of d british laws when i find.

    2. @BnR, yes you are right, but this is also important. Let them pay ONLY for the crimes they have committed. No need to add to it! No need to face charges for using a minor, or for sending a person abroad without him knowing he’s expected to donate his kidney. No need for the boy to say he is a minor or was deceived if it isn’t true. The crime is paying for an organ, let it remain that.

    3. I can’t see anywhere where it has been said the boy or his family were aware he was been sent abroad for organ donation. Whether the boy is 15, 21 or 25 , the fact remains that the Ekweremadus tried to exploit him. They have children that could donate but they preferred to exploit a homeless boy.Justice will prevail

    4. @bednroses, have you not seen Ike's letter which he addressed to the embassy that the boy was coming as donor to his daughter if their medical investigate matches. The boy is scam who instead asking them for more help decided to play them. We should not mix things up. Abi Oyibo prison no get innocent person for their prison? They make mistakes too

  2. It's now crystal clear the boy knew what he went there for,He probably experience the good life and decided to act smart,an opportunist.
It is also clear the Ekweremadus went about the organ donor the wrong way which happens to be illegal and they're very much aware of the consequences if found out.
Both parties were wrong respectively and they should pay for their crimes in accordance

    1. The only constant thing in all that has been said is the fact that he was PROMISED GETTING AN EDUCATION and according to him when he got there he discovered that he was to be an organ donor.

Can we stop trying to make the Ekweremadu's look like the victim here as the boys' only crime was coming from poverty.

      Delete
    2. The boy's crime here is that he is a wicked and very heartless person. You are poor doesn't mean you lose ur sense of morality. He should have refused to donate from the beginning not exploiting the rich to get what u want and then throwing them under the bus just because they are trying to save their daughter's life

    4. Not exonorating the Ekweremadus at all because our leaders are just a bunch of selfish lots but this boy knew. He had a medical visa, I am sure he was asked 1 or 2 questions at the point of entry in the UK being a first timer. Plus, he also must have gone to the hospital with them in Nigeria for his kidney to be a match with their daughter's.

It is absolutely OK for him to renege on his promise and chicken out, afterall, he is only human but the humongous lie just to stay in the UK is not necessary. I hope he gets deported if it is proven that he lied.

    5. They obviously did not tell the boy he is traveling abroad to donate an organ but tricked him they were going to train him abroad. You guys should stop supporting these evil politicians . Only God knows how many youths they have done this to without being caught.

    6. They promised to give him free education and he believed because the Ekweremadus are his family or don't have anything to do with their money again? He should find another lie because this one no go gel.
Meanwhile, let the Ekwere.. face the full consequences of their rash and selfish decision.

    7. Abrodian, kindly note that Ekweremadu is on a diplomatic passport and coverage which means any diplomatic claims he make covering the boy will be accepted until proven otherwise. We have diplomats in the house, kindly shed more light. I come in peace 😁🙌🏽

    8. What documents were filed at the British Embassy? Why not start from there. If there was any hanky panky, wdn't it have been detected at that point?

From the letter circulating online, nevertheless, I blv that the Ekweremadus made it clear that it was a medical affair, from the onset.

    9. No transplant team will even begin preliminary tests before the donor is properly informed and gives consent. This 25 year old crook knew the brain that failed him in Nigeria's derelict school system won't suddenly pick up in saner society.

What a levels or osce did he take abroad to go and start? He knew he was going to donate a kidney for a price and he thought living as a ward of the state will be cheaper and easier. He merely told his step brother a half truth that would not let their "evil mind" block his "glory". Even if it meant putting this kind of family in deep turmoil at this time, he was fine with this kind of gamble making him as evil as the politicians he complains about.

  8. From the first time the story broke, l knew he wasn't a minor as purported. Ekweremadu's crime was asking people to vote for someone else other than thier Savior PO and they went to do him dirty. Those who did him dirty and celebrated his 'downfall' want good governance in Nigeria. What an irony 😎

Jesus healed the children of Roman officials who were part of the colonial system oppressing the Jews. If Ekweremadu and David have no mercy, you show mercy that it may be extended to you. If Ekweremadu and David were not in the majority in Nigeria, one wouldn't have become a senator and the other a blackmailer.

You will see full grown men with beards saying they are 15. They even put them in secondary school with kids and the kids parents will be up in arms. UK will always treat alleged minors very well

As for you the sibling, I won't trust what you're saying cos if you both are from the same parents, I don't think you'll even be found, let alone you saying all these. What if them don pay you? We go know? Wo, let the court do their job and I wish the last that's ill a speedy healing.

  15. Both parties were desperate ! Ekweremadu was desperate to get cure for his child. The boy was desperate to get out of poverty. They all acted in poor mental state of mind. However, as a mother, I can't imagine my 15, 22 or 25 year old child make such a life altering decision without involving his immediate family. It is never wise to make life changing decision out of desperation.

  27. So many folks with colonized minds, self loathing people who don’t get it. For Pete’s sake it does not matter how old the boy is. This 20 year senator scammed the boy, with his class of looters like Atikole, Tienubu, PMB, etc refusing to build new ones, maintain or convert one of the formerly good teaching hospitals to world class standards for EVERYONE. Why take sides with Ike? Why is there so much ignorance among the governed? Can we not demand accountability from Ekweremadu & co? He goes around with $20k plus but they can build just one world class hospital if they get it or are forced by SM blitz to, so Atikole, Tienu, PMB etc won’t need to use scarce $ to get treated in the UK or the US. The issue isn't whether this boy whose share of the national cake was scammed is a “scammer”, the issue is why a 20 year senator has no achievement with his colleagues including one single world class transplant center costing less than $100m. Many have data to comment but just don’t get it. Imagine talking about morality regarding the poor boy’s behavior not that of the looter Senator, those folks aren’t very deep. As long as the vast majority of Nigerians are shallow & blame the victim, nothing will change.

The victims of the Owo attack were taken to St Louis hospital & Federal Medical center Owo, built over 50 years ago. The oppressor class of Tinubu, Aketi, Osinbajo, cohorts of entitled “lords” like Ekweremadu spent more on aviation fuel to “visit them” than what is needed to make the medical centers as good as Dog hospitals here! Shameful puctures on blogs showed gunshot patients on METAL of beds in the 🏥without mattresses, some with wounded legs raised on empty cardboard boxes😳 yet the aviation fuel of just one “big” man could buy enough mattresses + other supplies there! We make no demands on them, abusing those who deal with their mess up is uncalled for.
Do you know how many Chronic Kidney Disease patients are in Nigeria? What stops him using his influence to get his band of looters to build one world class hospital after all they spend stolen $ to come here for healthcare cheating UK & US taxpayers as well? Do we look down on ourselves & skills that much? Dubai didn’t exist like this 30 years ago! Ever heard of Biden, Obama,Pelosi or The British goverment officials family members travelling for medical treatment? Why are we so shameless as a people? They referred people from other nations to UCH up to the early 80s. What is wrong with our psyche? Mentally colonized by our own oppressors to think good health care is only for them. They shamelessly messed up the education sector because their kids don’t attend schools again in the country, they ruined & looted funds for healthcare as well, underfunding every crucial sector while padding their personal accounts for shopping😳They are in trouble with healthcare mess up, falling sick is not a planned event so you would think they would act in their own self interest. They think every sickness can wait for 6 hours flight to Europe or 14 hours to the US until it happens to their own even with the $ in their bank accounts! If you have blood clot & Pulmonary Embolism you won’t make a 6-hour flight unless you are started on an anticoagulant IV immediately & that’s if they can run accurate diagnostic D-Dimer tests to even detect it in time before it kills you. Yet many are in traffic for hours or sit on a spot for hours, risk factors for the silent killer! An embolism once formed in the lung chokes victims to death in their sleep! Force them to use the health facilities the governed use, stop the nonsense going on using the power of SM.
A flight to Europe after diagnosis will not save anyone from many emergencies. Whether you think you are rich or you know you are poor, you carry multiple visas & your kids are anchor citizens, as long as you live in Nigeria, fight on SM to get them to build a world class hospital within Nigeria & return ASUU back to classes! Education & Healthcare are vital and are for everyone, rich or poor. It’s not G-Wagon
