Monday IN HOUSE NEWS....

 What a day!!!

IN HOUSE MEMO

Please have the schools in Nigeria taken their summer holidays? if yes, how long is it? The schools here are vacating this week and a seven week period.

I am so sure that teachers are excited about the time off with kids and parents are panicking on what to do to keep their kids busy for the whole time at home...
If you are a teacher or a parent that has tips on his to keep minors busy this holiday, please send them in and let us make a post out of it and share these tips.......

I honestly wish i can begin my kids and husband to Nigeria but i wont do that until there is a change of govt and the kidnappings become history

I deleted a comment on Saturday that intended to remind BV shootergal of her crimes here, and she responded nicely but i deleted both comments... can we move on and let her be please?

So i have gist..... A BV here that is always on my inbox, always asking for one help or the other came again and this time it was huge...i discussed with one my US based BV and she sent her a large sum of money through me over the weekend and now she can relocate from the village (where kidnappers and rapists are now the order of the day) to Asaba and start life again with her kids .. She ran to the village from Lagos cos things were too tough.... She was even suicidal at a time but we thank God for this BV...

Lets call her Angel USA.... May God bless and replenish her wallet in Jesus name.

Enjoy the rest of the day and drop your own in house memo in the comment section.

Mwaaaah!!!

INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD.

Recently there has been an increase in the clamouring for no screen time at all for kids in the motherhood community I am in on social media.

I am not a party to it at all, I grew up with a lot of people that didn’t watch television at all for religious reasons and now that we are all adults I don’t think you can say they are more intelligent than those that watched television.

I know screen time when overdone is bad but cancelling it totally is a no no for me, I learnt a lot from television programs growing up, why will I want to rob my kids of that.

I guess they are clamoring for no screen time because of how everything has changed...I cannot imagine not watching TV, there is TV in every room in my house, I even have TV in my kitchen, LOL...... My bambinos also had a lot of screen time but along the line, my mum in law told me that too much screen time was bad for children and i reduced it... They watch TV now whenever they want and enjoy it.

Screen time is good if its not over done and then you monitor what they watch until they are old enough.....

RE: Worried Mum On Friday IHN

Good day Stella,

I couldn’t get my mind off the “WORRIED MUM” post on Friday in house news, so I just had to respond.

My daughter used to suffer same symptoms. Constant severe Cough and vomiting, and she loved to eat mostly Cereals. Her cough was so severe, she would choke on her mucus/saliva/vomits while sleeping. I had to start sleeping in her room whenever she had these episodes. She missed school a lot and we were literally treating cough and vomiting every week.

Doctors kept saying there’s something triggering it in our house after we had done Chest X-ray and other tests. Most especially dust. We changed everything into new in her room, started cleaning every hours, but it didn’t stop.

But guess what? She was having Grain Allergy. I noticed every time she had Golden morn/ Corn flakes/Oatmeal/any corn or wheat based cereal, she would start. And these are all cereals she takes every day as breakfast to school and dinner sometimes, so that explained the weekly hospital visits. Haa! Stella!! We suffered oh! I’m trying so hard to shorten my story.

But the bottom line is, the worried mum should check the cereals her child is taking. My daughter now only takes Rice based Cereals. No more Corn/Wheat based cereals. No more peanuts/groundnuts, no more coconut etc. If she mistakenly takes any of these, we are back to square one. It’s been over a year we discovered this and we no longer visit the hospital for her old symptoms.

In Nigeria, we hardly bother about Allergies and most children will constantly be treated for malaria with constant antibiotics which was our case. Also teach your child to know their allergies so they don’t mistakenly eat these foods, my son knows this so he constantly reminds her. God bless all mothers.

LET HER READ UP ALSO ON INDOOR ALLERGENS( dust/pollen/mold allergies)

I love you Stella. You are using your platform to do something greater than you know.❤️

Thank you so much for this piece Sweetie!
Thanks also for the love, it is reciprocated!

FROM FRIDAY NIGHT POST

Something very strange happened to me yesterday, I went to Oyingbo market very early in the morning to buy foodstuff. I bought lots of dry fish cos I wanted to give my mum some and send some to my sis so I had to buy much. I bought some other things too like egusi, ogbono and lots of stockfish for my sis.

On my way out of the market I stopped by my customers place to buy scent leaf and pepper soup spice.

So I dropped the whole bag of stuff I was carrying containing everything and I was trying to select fresh leaves. One lady came bought scent leaf 200 and left, this wicked lady carried a bag similar to mine.so she purposely dropped her bag and carried mine. i didn’t even know until I was ready to leave, cos if u know that market they don’t have stalls, the early morning market is a road market, all the buying is done on the road by small small tables.

How this woman carried the bag filled with all the items I had bin buying since 6am and dropped her bag for me shock me! When I wanted to leave I carried the bag and I noticed it wasn’t heavy.Cos the new items I bought I put in another nylon so I felt like putting all inside that bag so I can carry everything once to the bus stop.

The bag was not as heavy as before, opened it to put the new things I bought and I saw rags inside, old dirty clothes,2big sackbags, and 3very dirty old wigs that looked like wigs mad people wear with 2sneakers and 4big loaves of bread. the bread was even spoilt, brothers and sisters I fainted o.....

I was scattered at the market I couldn’t believe my eyes. i screamed and the woman attending to me jumped up and asked me what happened I showed her the bag and she was shocked too cos I had bought stuff from her earlier and she saw the content of my bag. I was at the market till 12pm yesterday I was just looking for my bag and I couldn’t even recognize the woman that swapped the bag.I was frustrated, so I went to the mallam that sold the fish for me, he is my customer too he saw me crying and I told him all the plenty fish I bought from him was stolen.

He felt very bad and gave me a few pieces of fish, told me not to worry about paying him. I cried ehn cos what I bought was plenty and I wasted so much effort. So the mallam asked me to give him my number, he will call me, that the person who stole the bag must surely bring it back when he is done with her. I asked him how,he said I should just go home and rest that my items will be back and he will call me.

So I got home and counted that as my loss, my mum told me not to worry, that as far as I’m alive I’m more important to her than the missing items.

Around past 10am my phone rang, and guess who was on the line, the mallam that sold fish to me,he just said enter bus dey come carry ur load madam. I wasn’t sure I heard him well. ‘Enter bus come carry ur load for market or u go leave am till tomorrow I go keep am well for u,u know say rain dey fall make the fish no spoil''

Omo I flew up from the bed and called my brother to come and hear what the mallam was saying. quickly we got dressed and left for the market, we got there and he had finished selling his items, he described where he was by the brt terminal me and my brother got there and behold my bag of goodies ..

I screamed when I saw it,he asked me to open it and check if it was complete,I did we counted the fish and the woman had taken some from it, and even tampered with the egusi and crayfish.i was too scared to even carry the stuff home.

I asked the mallam how he got the bag back and where the woman was and he told me not to worry I should just carry my stuff home,That the woman brought it to the market as early as 6 am and was stuck at the bus stop with the load and he caught her.

I heard they beat her up before she left. I think the mallam used jazz cos those mallam no Dey waka ordinary. I was confused coz I was scared of the items I didn’t know if to take it home or leave it. i took it home and my mum has instructed us not to touch the things, That we won’t eat them. That the mallam used jazz to call the thief back and she doesn’t want to eat something that has traveled in the spirit realm..........

*Please dont eat the fish and avoid that Mallam ooooooh.... Maybe he is also using the same Jazz on your cos you said thats the only place you buy fish.... please change customer.......... Strange things really happen....
Maybe the Nigerian govt should contact the mallam to help with the unknown gunmen problem that Nigeria is facing.....

    1. Madam with the lost and found fish, I find what the mallam did very commendable. He saw your tears and wanted to help you, whether he used jazz is not the main issue to me. He did not involve you in the so called jazz. Fine it is your prerogative not to eat the fish or not. But you could have just let go of it from the onset. Now someone helped you and all you have to say is that he used jazz. Suppose it was a life or death situation, would you have cared if he used jazz or not? What I am trying to say is that the country we are in now is full of people who are angry, frustrated, selfish, criminal minded, you name it. So when we come across someone who does something good for us we should be grateful. I bet if it was money, you would have spent it by now. Not to make you feel bad, but the tone of your narrative was somehow to me.

    2. Thank you 17:51, you echoed my thoughts. Like she should have just let go from onset rather turn the little assistance Into something spiritual. Maybe it would have been better he watched her weep and said sorry like the woman in who’s shop her stuffs were stolen. Sebi that one still collected payment and told her sorry 😏.

  3. I’m planning on going to Aba this week to get fabrics to sell.
Which of the markets do I go to?
What days do they open new bales?
What time do their markets open?
Any details that can help will be appreciated.

    1. Stop at their main park at Aba which happens to be the last Bustop..

Ask them how to locate Kent;it’s a stone throw from there, probably #100 T-fare or soo now..

Kent is everyday and lots of option;if you speak Igbo, use it cos if you speak English they would know you are “A foreigner” and increase prices.

There is also “Ahia Óhùrú” which is Friday and I think Tuesday;it’s close to Kent too and home for everything Okirika both Male and Female;you can ask those at Kent when you are there and they would direct you..

Night-bus is what most outside Lagos use so you would be at Aba early enough and start your hustle for being there..

There is also “School-Road” and it’s for shoes, bags or things for school wholesale price..

The three markets are all together so if you are close to one,it’s a circle and won’t cost..

      Wish you the best..

Start with Kent first;it’s home for everything fabrics in Nigeria..

      Hope this helps..

    2. They open new bales Tuesdays ( used to be Mondays but sit at home happened) and Fridays.
Take a Keke napep from main park to Ngwá road by Mosque, alight at Ehi Road and start walking all the way to Danfodio. You will see all that you need and more as you go, I assure you.

  6. My sister has sleep trained her 5 months old baby and I am so jealous. Ha! Why didn’t I have enough courage to do it, now I am suffering the ‘side effect’.

Her first night, the baby cried for 25 mins and slept off. Second night, she cried for 15 mins and slept off. 3rd night, cried for less than a minute and slept off. Now my sister’s night time is a lot less stressful.
I really wish I had found to courage to do that.

Anyways, I have gradually started having my child watch peppa pig and less coco melon. Time to get that britico accent in Jesus name. If u like, call am inferiority complex, Ichoptas not. That accent she must have in Jesus name 😂

He had "a relationship," and got you pregnant (you spread your legs). So this
