It is part of what causes so much heartbreak today. So many people going around deceiving others just to sleep with them, then dump them afterwards. Real commitment and discipline in the mud these days. God's Word is supreme. And ultimately His Word is for our good. There is a way that seemeth right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. Thank God for His mercy.

Trusting in God and having faith in Him is wonderful and a good way to walk with God. When human beings began to get civilized was when marriage started as a means to curtail conflict among males. So an alpha male can 'own' a certain female or females and have the sole right to mate and procreate with them. Marriage is MAN MADE.
Whatever restrictions you place on yourself based on any religion is purely your business. Sin has a litmus test: Sin is anything you do, say, think or not do that is not Love inspired. Anything you do and it is done without Love is a sin. Having sex as an exploitation of someone, deceive, rape, blackmail is a sin because the act is devoid of love. Love is God. Two consenting adults with mutual attraction is not a sin. Sex is a basic human need and has loads of benefit.
It depends on what you have defined love to be. Many atrocities and sin as you called it yourself, are being perpetrated based on 'love'. A society without restrictions and lawless is definitely chaos. If you claim marriage to be man made, it still shows there was a need for it.
