ReplyDeleteA 10 year old victim of child rape who got pregnant by her rapist is facing the same issue in Idaho, she’s 24 weeks and 3 days pregnant hence, she can’t get an abortion and might be forced to carry the baby to term. She’s just a baby herself, for goodness’ sake! Why put her through the trauma of pregnancy and childbirth after differing the trauma of rape?
These Bible thumping conservatives justify their bullshit ruling by claiming only 1% of abortions are from rape, they ignore the fact that that 1% statistic affects thousands of women.
Sad time to be a woman in that shithole country. Women’s rights are going through a hit rn, let’s not even talk about how the identity of real biological women are being erased to accommodate those mentally ill people that call themselves transgender.

ReplyDeleteYou guys saying she is lying or can go to another state, do you know what state she's in? Can she afford to travel to another state for the abortion? Can she afford hotel bills and such? The few states that allow it are already overwhelmed. Can she afford to wait if there's a long list of people, take time off work for something she can't take time for? If she lives in Texas, Texas law allows you to be reported and prosecuted for having an abortion regardless of the location, and the doctor will be charged too. That may be why the doctors changed their minds. She obviously wanted the baby until things went bad. I think she was caught in the uncertainty the decision created because it took another week before abortions started in some states Otherwise, she would have terminated it when she found out. Empathy costs nothing, folks. Can she afford to take care of a sick child? Men and women have abandoned their children for that reason. These conservatives in America are only fighting for white babies to be born. Once they are, no one cares what happens to them.
