The state police command’s spokesperson, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga who confirmed the incident said the girl was pushed down by her guardian and tagged it a case of attempted murder.
Ikenga said: “The Anambra State Police Operatives at about 4pm on 2/7/2022 have arrested one Mrs Onwanna Nnenna (F) aged 29yrs old from Nando, Anambra East in a case of attempted murder that happened at Otu street, Awada, Onitsha.
“Preliminary information shows that the victim, one miss Ijeoma Nwafor (F), 14year old, a native of Achalla was pushed down from a four-storey building by the suspect when she was beating her. Other details reveal that the victim is a house help to the suspect.”
Ikenga said Mrs Nnenna is currently in Police custody and the victim is receiving treatment in a hospital, and that further development on the matter will be communicated.

Reminds my of my neighbour down the street. She beat her help so bad her hand was broken and bleeding. From our house, we were hearing her screams. At first I thought someone died, hubby said we should go and check, it sounds like domestic violence.
ReplyDeleteWhen we got outside, the girl had already run out of the house, she was begging us to help her while the madam was chasing her. Immediately, hubby told me to get the car keys, he was able to bundle the girl into the car and rushed her to the hospital.
The evil woman came with her husband about and hour later accusing us of kidnapping the girl. I Immediately called my hubby who was still at the hospital with the girl, he immediately called the the gender based violence team in the state (he helped set it up) and also the security manager where he works to inform him about the threat to our lives.
Long story short, the evil woman didn't show up at the hospital at all, it was the husband that kept coming to visit and begging us not to take the case further. They sha signed undertaking with the police and girl was returned to her family when she was discharged. Oh and the girl was actually the womans nice o
