Actors Uche Jombo, Omoni Oboli, Chioma Apotha Talk About The Sad State Of Nigeria While Holidaying In Dubai...

Nollywood actors Uche Jombo, Omoni Oboli and Chioma Apoth are currently on a working holiday in Dubai and they were invited to an event on Tuesday September 6, 2022 and these Ladies talked about the Nigerian state and were quite sad about the state of things...

Actor Uche Jombo said that African and Nigerian leaders make her sad with their style of leadership.
She said that Nigerian leaders travel out of the country but don’t apply what they learn from their trip.

Jombo, in what she tagged, “copy and paste” leadership, said: ” It makes me sad with the kind of leaders we have. This is my individual opinion and I have to say it. I mean Nigeria is an oil country. We can do so much if we have the right leadership.
Look at what Dubai is doing. Dubai constantly shows and reminds you of what is possible. ”

   Actor Omoni Oboli
speaking on how Africa can develop and become a continent that can attract investors suggested that the continent must first guarantee the safety of its people and visitors.

According to her: “Mine is security first. When we get the countries actually safe and the people begin to feel that there is safety things will change. You can claim that there is safety, but if you don’t feel safe, you don’t feel safe. Dubai is what it is because people feel safe going to the country.

“Any nation that is safe attracts foreigners. If I come to your country and I don’t feel safe, then I don’t want to come back. The first thing Africa has to look at is the area of security and safety.”

Actor Chioma Akpotha says leaders should try to learn and apply it in their country any time they travel.

She said: The first time I travelled, I saw what I saw and I wanted it replicated in my home. This is what African leaders should do. That is also what I think good leadership should do for Africa. You want the various arms of government to work well with what you have seen outside. You want to bring it back home and apply it the way it will work for your people.”

    1. Omoni need to zip it if she didn’t want to be exposed. Coming from the girl that got millions from the ex president for her mediocre movie. The wasted of money without any accountability during Jonathan period put Nigeria in this mess. Period

    2. Omoni made the most important comment with full common sense… if people do not feel safe re security in a country how do you expect them to go back to do anything in that country

I see great leaders & visionary Nigerians, but they wouldnt just be given the opportunity to actualize that dream. If you're the one honest person in the midst of 9 corrupt people, not only will your efforts be counterproductive, there might be detrimental consequences to your being straight forward. A country where the truth no longer sets you free, or even being Obidient is considered foolishness.
The problem is not just the leaders, corruption has eaten deep & living rent-free in the mind of an average Nigerian.

  8. Our leaders know the right thing to do,but since they know they can get away with bad leadership, corruption and other vices that's why they are not putting effort. They do not respect the rule of law.Until we pick a leader not because of wealth or popularity or paying back good but on merit and outstanding performance.
    God bless Nigeria

  13. Everyone is saying leaders, but we don't have any enduring institutions. Our judiciary is corrupt, civil service is deeply corrupt and we want a good country. Hundreds obedient can not do anything with such structures. Nigerians are even very corrupt and lack discipline is like Everyone needs to wake up..

  21. All of them should shut up, including Omoni. Dubai is a facade. I live there , no maintenance culture. All the luxurious buildings, enter dirty vents ,that have not been cleaned for ages, you will be paying so much in $ for rent; aside their malls and metro , and public spaces, there is nothing there to write home about. They should all shut their dirty traps. I am caught in Nigeria to take break to take care of business. Ufuoma is more sensible than this other women. Who Dubai help,we as professionals conduct our business and get out. You can't be somewhere for 2 weeks at most and open your mouth to conclude trash, with what Dubai is doing to Nigerians. Omoni and her gang must be very silly!!!I guess they were paid to sing trash.
