Some beneficiaries of the N-power scheme have urged the Nigerian government to pay their stipends to enable them to buy food for Christmas and NYear celebrations.
“It is shameful and extremely painful our government has held on to our three months stipends without any explanation whatsoever.
First of all, the N-Power batch C2 beneficiaries were deployed in September but we were asked to resume at our place of primary assignment (PPA) on the 4th of October which we did, and since then, nothing has been done about our stipends. Meanwhile, we applied for the empowerment programme in 2020. After so much delay, we were deployed two years after and still no payment.
“We are suffering and there are speculations that the minister said she has paid all the beneficiaries and does not owe anyone,”
Since its creation by President Muhammadu Buhari in June 2016 to address youth unemployment and help increase social development in the country, the N-Power scheme has been dogged by many scandals and failed to live up to its billing.

ReplyDeleteHow disheartening. Why won't ppl japa when a simple program cannot even function correctly. Even the paltry amount to be paid cannot be delivered on time as promised. The lack of a social conscience is baffling.
ReplyDeleteI hope some of them reincarnate as a cockroach for a thousand years for the wickedness they did as humans. Just the lowest of filth that anything can crush and eat, the thing that lives in sewage and filthy places, cause being a good human being is too much for them.
This is very painful. People in high places have swallowed the money.
ReplyDeleteEven pensioners have not been paid nothing for a while now.
ReplyDeleteFor shame
D Banj, wia dia money dey?
ReplyDeleteD Banj, wia dia money dey?
ReplyDeleteStory of my life.
ReplyDeleteI was honestly hoping against all odds they will pay.
To even feed in this country is such an expensive venture.
May God help us Batch C2
Haba 3month salary....This is wicked ness..
ReplyDeleteBatch C2 has never been paid a dime since after deployment
ReplyDeleteDespite the stress and the expenses incurred during Biometric verification, physical verification, signing of PPA letter by PPA rep and Focal person, Deployment and subsequent resumption at PPA for months now paying transport fare to and fro with hope that they will pay stipends, Federal Govt have decided not pay beneficiaries of NPOWER C2.
ReplyDeleteIt is well
May God provide for all those who are in need, especially those who have labored and we not paid in this scheme. I hope someone in power with a listening ear will take appropriate action.
ReplyDeleteIt is better for young people to look outside of government for a source of income as it seems all through Nigeria's history, they have reliably broken every promise of this nature.
