Some students of the Federal Government College, Ijanikin, Lagos State,  were caught after absconding from school to lodge female colleagues in hotels for s#x romps. It was gathered that the students, who were all boarders, had on different occasions jumped the school’s fence with their female counterparts and stayed out of school for days.




Pandemonium broke out in Ikere-Ekiti, on Monday when a popular native doctor simply identified as Kehinde slumped and died during an alleged sex romp with a pastor’s wife.

It was gathered that the unfortunate incident occured in an undisclosed hotel where the deceased lodged his lover whose identity is yet to be ascertained for the act.

An eyewitness told Vanguard that the woman raised the alarm after realizing that her lover collapsed.
The hotel manager and some residents were to said to have immediately raced to the scene and rushed the deceased to a nearby hospital where he was confirmed dead.

 The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has cautioned Nigerians against a purported portal for the recruitment of ad hoc staff for the 2023 general elections. This was contained in a statement issued yesterday in Abuja, by Mr Rotimi Oyekanmi, chief press secretary to INEC chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.

Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has cautioned eligible voters in the State against selling their Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs). Speaking during their campaign tours of Binji and Tangaza LGAs yesterday, the governor alleged that some people were buying PVCs in their attempt to rig the forthcoming elections in the State.

. Former Imo State Governor, Mr. Ikedi Ohakim is still in shock over Monday’s attack on his convoy by gunmen at Oriagu, Ehime Mbano, saying that his attackers were on a mission to assassinate him. Although four of his police orderlies, including a driver, lost their lives in the attack, the former governor and his two children who were with him during the incident were fortunate to escape unhurt.

. Ex-Federal Commissioner for Information and South-South Leader, Chief Edwin Clark, on Tuesday, endorsed the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi for the forthcoming poll. Clark, who addressed journalists in Abuja, declared that with the former Anambra governor as President of Nigeria, the country would be more united.

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, yesterday, commended former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, over his endorsement of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi as the right person to win this year’s presidential election, saying that the LP candidate will provide the leadership that Nigerians desire.

 President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday signed the N21.8 trillion 2023 budget into law. Buhari made the disclosure in a live broadcast on Tuesday, saying the signing will avoid delay in the 2023 budget implementation.

About 6.7 million Nigerians are yet to collect their permanent voter cards less than eight weeks to the general elections. Data obtained from the State offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission on Tuesday revealed that 6.7 m PVCs were locked up in INEC safes across 17 States and the Federal Capital Territory.

Akwa Ibom State police command has apprehended one Akpan Okon Akpan who allegedly burnt his friend to death following a disagreement over a phone charger.

Parading the suspect alongside other suspects who engaged in various crimes at the command headquarters, Ikot Akpanabia, Uyo, the Commissioner of Police, Olatoye Durosinmi said the suspect, a roadside petrol seller, had at the middle of the altercation with his friend poured petrol on him and ignited a match which caused the victim’s death.

Upon interrogation, the suspect admitted to the crime, saying that he was forced to kill the deceased because he was the first that started a fight with him.

Narrating how the incident took place, the suspect said: “I don’t know the guy before, he ran into my shop and said he was looking for someone who collected his charger, I told him that such a person was not in my shop. Out of anger, he took a bottle and started fighting me and I fought back.

“I used the petrol I sell and poured on him, honestly I didn’t know what I was doing until he started burning and people gathered, we were trying to put out the fire but it was already late because when they took him to hospital, he died there.”

One Joseph Friday has been arrested for killing his father with claims that his father hypnotized him.
He said the suspect beat his father to death and dragged his lifeless body to the road.
The Commissioner said the mother of the suspect reported the matter to the police division in Etinan where the operatives arrested the suspect.

Meanwhile, the suspect, 25, had confessed to the crime, saying that his father usually appeared to him in the dream and bewitched him.
He explained that whenever such happened, something like a tortoise would enter his body and he would immediately become mentally deranged.

He said that he hit his father with his hands and he died.
The Commissioner, who frowned at the crimes, noted that the suspects would be charged to court at the end of investigations.

    Imagine about 6.7 million Nigerians yet to collect their pvc's. How then do we expect a better Nigeria if we don't vote in the right candidate next month?

  3. I thought schools are yet to resume. To beat a child is no more effective in correcting them . What will they now become when they get to university if they are jumping fence and visiting hotels in secondary school? O chimoo.
