EkweremaduGATE - 7-week Jury Trial To Probe Organ Harvesting Allegations Begins Today

The “conspiracy to facilitate harvesting organ” trial of Nigeria's former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu will begin at the Central Criminal Court today Tuesday January 31,2023. The Jury Trial will last “seven weeks...

Ekweremadu’s wife, Beatrice, their 25-year daughter, Sonia (for whom the parents wanted a donor kidney) and Dr. Obinna Obeta , will be tried with the Senator for allegedly conspiring to harvest David Nwamini’s kidney. Although Sonia was not originally on the charge sheet , but in a bizarre twist of fate, the prosecution dragged her in and charged her in the second half of December.

In December the Ekweremadu's made a case for the “dismissal of the charges,” but after two days of legal wranglings, the pre-trial judge threw their application out and did likewise for the Senator’s bail application , leaning towards the Crown’s- government- argument that he remains a “flight risk,” and might abscond from the United Kingdom if granted bail.

    1. Same thing I said, this isn't about anyone's feelings.

  2. The trial will last for seven whole weeks? It's well with you, Oga Ekweremadu

  3. they should release him on bail at least..with a ankle tag . keeping him in jail for over a year why?

    1. Because he's a flight risk sir/ma.
Only if you were patient enough to read.

    2. There he is a suspect considered a high flight risk

  4. Wow. I thought this was alread heard. Legal matters really take time but this issue is major. Organ harvesting just sounds so wretched. This case is a reminder that anyone can fall and be disgraced. Doing what is wholesome is protective and gives peace of mind.

  5. Federal Govt still dey pay him salary?

  6. Why waste tax payers'. money? They should lock the man up and throw the key into Atlantic Ocean. He is useless to everybody

  7. This is a life lesson to Ekweremadu. This is how quickly he would have been forgotten if he is dead. It is actually the useless and hopeless masses that empower this people to think they are demigod. UK has humbled him.

    1. May they not be useless and hopeless abeg
We need them for election voting
