  3. NO ELITIST ATTITUDES

'Don't think you are better than you really are.' Romans 12:3 NLT

Paul writes: 'Don't think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us. Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ's body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well' (Romans 12:3-6 NLT).

Paul is teaching us this important principle: 'Don't have an elitist attitude.' If you are an elitist, you must deal with the truth that every advantage or favour you enjoy is a gift from God (see 1 Corinthians 4:7). Whatever God has given you or allowed you to accomplish must never be used for personal exultation.

Even if you think you achieved each of them on your own, read these words and take them to heart: 'Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don't look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being...he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal's death on a cross. Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honour and gave him the name above all other names' (Philippians 2:3-9 NLT).

  4. Courageously Declare His Word!!
    Hebrews 13:5-6.

    Excerpts!!

"The way to respond to life’s circumstances is with the Scriptures. For example, when you say, “Greater is He that’s in me than he that’s in the world,” you’re responding with the Word; you’re courageously affirming the Word."

"The Word of God created all things; therefore, everything in life responds to the spoken Word from your lips"

"The principle is: the Word in your heart and in your mouth; you release the power of God into action in your behalf through speaking."

    Confession!!

I'm a winner all the time; I live over and above all limitations and circumstances. There’s no situation I can’t change, because my tongue is a tree of life with which I guarantee my health, success, safety, wellness and wholeness! Hallelujah!

    Further Study:
    Proverbs 15:23; Romans 10:10; Joshua 1:8

  21. Yesterday Chronicle

I saw some comments insinuating that what the boy did to his mum was a payback for the affair she had with her boss in order to sponsor his education Abroad. Like seriously?
These things happen all the time, even when you work hard and use your hard earned money to sponsor your child to school abroad or here in Nigeria, he or she can do what that boy did. You all over religious bigots should go and yansh down. It takes the grace of God for a child to remember his or her parents when they blow. Just train them and commit them to God's hands.

I always told her to save the money or use it to buy things for herself that when she’s grown and earning she can buy me anything.

  36. Good morning beautiful people. Yesterday's Chronicle brought tears to my eyes. Me that has only one child, what should I do? So many "what ifs?"πŸ˜₯
People will be saying "save for your old age, prepare for your old age, don't rely on any child"
Prepare with which money? The millions spent in training only one child from kindergarten to university level, is it not enough to use and prepare for old age? If we now refuse to train them and keep that money for old age, is it good? I calculated how much we spent on her school fees alone in. The last two years only, tears flowed from my eyes. If I now calculate how much we have spent so far on school fees, books, school parties, excursions, uniforms, lunch, bags, shoes, etc from kindergarten to now that she is in Jss 1, I will just faint.
    I am scared☹️
