      Hi Cynthia,yea Uziza is better for me in Egusi than Pumpkin leaf,especially if you are putting in the freezer..

      The Uziza remains same way inside the freezer but if it's pumpkin leaf,it will melt inside the Egusi and before you know it the soup loses taste..

      Have you tried mixing Ogbono and Egusi with Uziza leaves? 😉

      Try okazi/ugu and uziza for egusi soup. For ogbono or okro soups,I don't even use ugu at all. Uziza all the way. For Oha, add a little ground uziza seeds to give the soup more oomph before adding the oha and uziza leaves.

      Martins, Uziza is the koko o. My hubby does not like Ogbono soup though I love it, I have not cooked it in a long while. I have been using Uziza since I discovered the magic it brings in my soup. Correct aroma o. 😊.

    is too early for people to start calling one to borrow them money in this January already, people are taking me for a fool and i need to have tough skin on that right now cos what happened in 2022 cannot repeat itself.

    This year already i have borrowed people 42k already and we are at the beginning of 2023. 5th and some people feel that i money somewhere to be begging me for money or borrowing them money. Most times i do not get this money or get them in full as i gave it out.

    Please teach me how to deal with them and have tough skin. I borrowed them my pocket money and right now i have just 4k which cannot be enough till salary showed up. How can i be this soft and not even keep my personal need money but will send to people.

    I feel terrible cos i have need on what to do with money but i cannot use it cos i have already borrowed out my money.

    @ bv fatee, saw your question from yesterday sp.sure you should be able to sew boubou by easter ,with dedication and commitment under 3 month. Boubou is one of the most simple style to sew, so far it doesn't have any special design,just normal boubou. Also make sure you have personal machine to practice at home, there are lot of YouTube channel that can help too, tailoring is a continuous learning. I wish you all the best

      I never knew I would be writing plenty notes like this 🤣. Come and see notes, including mathematics(though I have not reached that part yet). The notes that I saw was plenty.. Now I believe that a dull person cannot be a successful tailor. You have to be intelligent. God help me.

    That is why Yorùbá people usually say when you set out to look for money and you meet honour on the way then don't need the journey anymore, because if you get the money, you will still use it to buy honour..

    6th Yorùbá value system is owó tàbí orò:
    Money or wealth
    If you are putting money ahead of the other five, then you are a nobody in Yoruba land of the olden days. Unfortunately, this one is being pushed to the forefront nowadays due to the erosion

    I ghosted my friend of 6 years in March 2022, i stopped picking her calls and reaching out because of her plenty demands, she reached out a thousand times after that but i didn't pick or respond to her messages. I guess at a point she realized the friendship was over so she stopped calling.

    Here's my reason for ghosting her

    I met this particular friend i am writing about in the university( let's call her L). We were course mates but we stayed in different hostels. I noticed L likes to beg for everything and she doesn't just go straight to the point to beg, she starts with sob stories then boom!!! The begging will start.
    The annoying part was she begged everybody she knew, From friends to roommates to course mates to boyfriends to casual friends. I was able to endure until we graduated but it didn't stop there.
    Before i stopped picking her calls, she'll always call to tell us(our click of friends and i) that she has an event or an occasion and as the first daughter she is suppose to buy a goat for the occasion or as the first daughter she is suppose to drop 50k as her contribution or she was asked to buy the drinks they'll need for the occasion etc after these stories comes billing. She bills all of us.
    These calls came in at least once in 2 months and the annoying part was this girl had a job then o
    And if we tell her we don't have she'll start saying "if we that our parents are well to do/average are complaining, what'll she from a poor background do"?

    I got tired early last year and decided to block her because all she does is take and take and take, you'll never ever see her 1 naira.
    Plus You know how you see a number calling you and you start to have palpitations because you don't know what the request/demand will be. That was what i started going through before i stopped picking her calls.
    I've had peace for 10 months and i intend to keep it that way.

    She has started calling again, i saw 2 missed calls from her yesterday and one this morning, honestly i don't intent to call back or ever pick her calls because i have tasted peace and i love how tasty it is.

    Our mutual friend is advicing i call back
