    We live in a generation where people are 'eager' to drive expensive cars, live in posh homes, wear designers and travel around the world. All of these things are good. It is the DESPERATION in getting them, that is DEADLY! People willing to do ANYTHING to 'Live Large'. 😱
    We need to teach our kids the godly virtues of CONTENTMENT and PATIENCE. They need to know they can't always get what they want. That way, the next generation can be better.
    May God help us get it right with ourselves and our kids. 🙏

    NO TEMPTATION, JESUS’ WAY

    'For forty days he was tempted by the devil.' Luke 4:2 NIV


    Here are some practical pointers from Jesus for handling temptation: (1) Your temptations are like the ones he faced. 'Jesus understands every weakness of ours, because he was tempted in every way that we are' (Hebrews 4:15 CEV). Jesus understands how bad your temptations are: 'He was tempted in every way' means he's been there, felt the urge and understands your vulnerability. You can turn to him when temptation hits, confident he has walked the same path and he will help you.

    (2) Temptation often comes after spiritual victory. Jesus had just been baptised, the Holy Spirit descended on him, and God declared his pleasure in his Son - then Satan struck full force (see Matthew 3:16-17; 4:1-11). High spiritual moments can leave you susceptible to attack. Paul says, 'Let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall' (1 Corinthians 10:12 NKJV). People often crash and burn after big accomplishments.

    (3) Temptation comes when you're exhausted. Forty days without eating had left Jesus physically depleted. When your resources are drained, you're a target for attack. Lack of sleep, unhealthy diet, stretching yourself too thin, no exercise, anxiety and discouragement can open the door to temptation. When you feel down, your focus blurs, your awareness is dulled, your spiritual edge diminishes, and you're not on guard against the enemy's approaches and schemes. The Bible says, 'Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour' (1 Peter 5:8 NLT).

      Go to settings, click app management, then click on each app and disable background data

      Put your phone in battery saver mode;this stops background app refresh like Gmail,Facebook etc until you refresh yourself..

      Avoid videos on WhatsApp,go to settings on WhatsApp by clicking three dots at the top right;scroll to "Settings",then "Storage and Data"..select "no media" when using mobile data and wifi..

      This way no WhatsApp videos downloads except you accept it yourself and that saves your data..

      Avoid videos online especially Tiktok and Instagram..

      Any friend that doesn't give you peace, cut them off. I remember those days when I used to have friends, one particular friend used to condemn whatever I wore or used. She would condemn my handbag and say it looks cheap that I should be buying Italian leather bags, that she buys hers at okirika shop for just 5k or 10k max. She would condemn my hair and say it is not human hair, she would condemn my shoes, clothes, everything. I cut off from her before she push me into something else.

      Reminds me of when I lived
      briefly with my in-laws. I used pot to warm bath water and covered it pot, they now said that I should open it, that it is when they want to bath a corpse that they cover the pot in Yoruba land. This was new to me, as I am not Yoruba.
      In my house , I still cover my pot when I warm bath water. Even did it this morning as there was no light. I warmed the water that me and my daughter used for bathing in a covered pot. No time for any superstitious beliefs.

    Good morning morning my people.

    I'm not good at story telling,and my English might not be ielts compliant,so the girl in English class should kindly skip.

    I dropped a gist about my neighbor that have birth few days ago,hmmmmm plenty dram don happen after that day. The hubby ,who is part time hubby anyway,because he has 2 other wives,and he doesn't even have a good job o, he stays with any wife that can feed him till the money finished or that one show him shege,then move to the next. Anyway, we've been hearing that my neighbor is dating one old man,a former council chairman in our street,and we wonder what she's doing with such a very old man in his late 70s or early 80s sef. The gist had it that the hubby is aware,and they're both in the business of collecting money from the man, his atm is permanently with her because she's operating pos, so anytime baba needs money he will just tell her to bring money. The woman said baba can't get that "thing" up,than he will just be doing genital meeting,he can't penetrate, and will touch breast and finger( excuse for the raw language), anyway when she got pregnant,the hobby told her the should push the pregnancy on the man,as he's a rich man and he will soon kpai,so as for the child to get inheritance, but between the 2 of them they know the hubby is the father.

    The woman said she can't do that, that caused wahala between them, but the woman still seeing baba with the pregnancy to continue their genital meeting.

    Anyway,the husband came 3 days after she deliver,and denied the baby ,that its not his. He called family meeting and asked the wife to swear if she's not sleeping with chairman, even while pregnant, na so yam pepper scatter scatter,and she let every secret out,that it was arrangements between herself and husband o, that baba has never released since they have being doing genital meeting,so how can he be the father? I wonder what chairman sef dey disturb himself on top,abi wetin "baba bamifisi" dey enjoy for gods sake.

    Shame leave these people come dey catch me on their behalf ,see dirty talks. Anyway,the case still dey on, we never know how dem go settle am.

    I no fit even ask how preparation for naming go be ,and she don make mouth before say her naming go loud, but as e be now,I never know how the thing go go.

    Good morning my wonderful people..
    I couldn't sleep last night,l notice my hair was itching me alot,l thought it could be dandruff,l ask my neice to check and it was lice and l made my hair last week Thursday,how did it happen could it be from the salon?

    Please someone should tell me what to do to get rid of it from my hair today,am on natural hair,l don't want to cut my hair..

      Some remedies were given one time like that on two different posts, you can Google search lice remedies on SDK. Always go with your hair making tools to any saloon. Me and my daughter do not use the saloon's tools especially all combs, crotchet pins and needles

    There’s this girl that came with one of my customer to my shop lastyear,a goddaughter to that my customer.She later came to advertise her perfume oils that she was selling and will sit for hours,i was always uncomfortable ,even when customers are around,she will rather sit than leave.Now to my mistake,when customers are around,my own customers,she will advertise her own perfume to them and even collect their numbers.This girl opened a small place not far from my place and started selling similar things I sell,and even call those my customers that she has her number.My mom said I should just leave her that time will tell if she will still be relevant in the business or not,that I should never make the mistake of allowing anyone come sit and be indirectly selling in my shop anymore cos that was what she did till she gathered my customers
    This girl boosts of using cele things like its normal,all her body always smelling of all this miss Paris things.
    I’m so angry,I feel like hurting her.
    One of my customers asked me to make organic soap for her,which i’ve done.I kept calling to tell her to come for the soap,yesterday she told me this girl convinced her to use the money to buy things from her.I remembered how I hustled to gather these little set of customers that I have,when I first opened my shop,I will even go on sundays to target church people around the area.
    I couldn’t sleep during the night,been thinking .
