    2. Not for only men but for women too. After all, no mother-in-law in Nigeria is a man and they are the ones who carry this issue on their head. You also have other women in the family carrying it on their head

    3. You just hit the nail on the head! It is the mother in law that carries it on their heads. I went through a miscarriage and it was not even up to one month, she started talking about adoption. I have not even healed from the whole experience of losing my precious baby.

  5. , He's saying nothing but the truth. An average Nigerian couple without a male child especially my igbo people see themselves as incomplete.

    1. Don’t make everything about tribalism. My father Inlaw, complete Yoruba man left his wife after 5 girls and no boy, to marry another woman. All because he needs a male child to carry on his name. And yes we all leave in America. When I say we, I mean mil fil, new wife, me and my own family. These things happen with individuals. It’s sad, but the damn truth.

    2. True not tribal but it’s dominantly with us igbos. The sad and annoying truth is that they expect the girls to be the one to take care of them when they have come of age. Imagine that ideology.
