SHARENTING - Read This Before You Post Your Child Online..

Sharenting, the act of sharing too much information about your child on social media, is becoming a growing concern. While it may seem harmless to share cute photos and milestones, there are several dangers that come with oversharing on social media.
So while you might think there is nothing wrong with sharing your love for your child with the whole world, it’s important to pause and consider what risks might exist from trolls and even cybercriminals.

    1. Used to post randomly of myself and kids. But for more than 5yrs now, nothing about my personal life is on social media. Even when my son had the beat IGCS result in his sch. All i did was congratulate him, without his picture just his result. As for me,even my family knows not to post me on social media, call ad wish me well that's all.

  2. People that open a page for their kids, write captions as if it's the child that types and still use their own account to comment and then the "child" responds "thank you mummy" meanwhile na you dey thank yourself. If that's not m@dness, tell me what it is. Some people use tbose children to make money! There's this little girl of 5, I discovered the page when that girl was like 3 years old..you will never believe the child is 5 years. The way she dances, she influences for brands etc shows that this guy is exposed to things she shouldn't be exposed to. Trolls are everywhere, not everyone online get sense. You will see them sexualizing kids with fake pages!

  3. I saw a video last month and i have had so many questions on my mind, the mother of a boy of about 7-8 years recorded the boy being punished for taking/stealing milk in the house. I believe she felt it was a funny scene but I bet that boy will HATE that lady if he ever comes across that video in the future. Well, I have concluded that some people should not have access to mobile phone and Internet because don't have sense.

    What for?
Is your child a celebrity or a designer or a musician?
What are you sharing pictures for???
It's like you don't know what a sick and terrible world we live in now.

    1. So you want me to stop seeing Mercy Johnsons adorable kids? You people are not serious o. Kids that entertains and makes me happy all the times? *wipes tears*

Everybody can't be hiding their kids. What about those that does kiddies dramas? We should stop watching kiddies shows them.
Please it not every post that people should say 'oh yes!' to.

There are some kids that don't have to be online and there are some that has to. Please if you are sanctioning please don't near mercy Johnson kids. They are not embracing their parents on anybody by their online presence. If it is for security reasons please they will be very fine.

    2. Go and get your own kids and display them like banner on your pages. Nobody is stopping you. If people choose to stop posting pictures of their kids it's also very fine.
Unless your kid is making money online or is a child model, comedian, politician etc there is NO reason to be displaying your children online. You want to use your kids to entertain people as per they are jesters or what? When they become adults, they can make their own decisions to post 500 pictures of them selves per day if they want.
