PINKYS CORNER

I greet una, I think it's high time I address some certain issues on this blog and I would love you to comprehend me word for word.  don't judge what  you don't know.

Quick one, I have read alot of comments from some of you telling me to move away from where I stay, some are saying I don't see or have anything positive around me to talk about except negative things. I also read yesterday where someone commented that, my life is full of negativity, I need to laugh out loud because I believe, you can't swallow what isn't in your mouth except your saliva which can only be swallowed twice.

Now, read up, I have come a long way to become a man and I'm a product of trenches.I remember when I was staying at Oju Irin(mushin) just a throw stone to Idiro bus stop(for those of you who know mushin very well), I helped them offload bananas and plantains before I gained admission to school (RIP my Yoruba teacher, he was a great man).

Where I stayed in mushin was a place where you only get to hear bad things happening from left to right and seldomly try to go to where they happen, not because I'm really interested in it but because it makes me learn a lot and makes me stronger. I have had alot of bad friends but everything that happened to them was what I used in training myself and preparing myself for the future.

When I got admission into SCHOOL (2005), I had no money to carry on but God blessed me academically which aided me,along with driving a passenger bus from Bariga to Yaba(to n fro) just to pay school fees and feeding. I stopped some bad things i was doing to make money to survive in school when I was arrested in Unilag and taken to Sabo police station but God took control. A lot to talk about but let me pause here.

If you don't know how to use your gadgets then learn. Some of us lack digital ethics reason behind you diverting your useful energy to cyber bullying . There are a lot of positive things around me but do you expect me to go into people's house and ask them to tell me about their success or what? if you have ever worked around a market square or have a shop around there, then you will understand better and also, if you stay in an area where things happen regularly then it won't be too difficult for you to comprehend why I keep getting infos. If you are expecting me to write about the positive things in my area then wait till I have money to build on a half plot of land at Lekki then you will enjoy the story. Funny enough some of us were raised in a dirty, local and bad environment but we come online to form what is not.

I do my things my way and not your way, I'm the best at myself and will never retrogress because trying to be like you is already planning to fail. Though I love your criticism but some of you don't know how to constructively criticize someone you do not feed, even if you are behind the success of any individual, there should always be a limit to bullying.

Respect yourself and make sanity your watchword before you derail.

Na wah...... There is something i noticed about you and i dont know if its a flaw.. You hardly ever get angry and when someone provokes you you lecture them....keep it, those of us who get angry and use words anyhow will learn from you....

A MUST READ

After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie.

She said I Love You but I know this other woman loves you too and would love to spend some time with you.

The other woman that my wife wanted me to take out was my MOTHER who has been a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three children had made it possible to visit her only occasionally.

That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie.
'What's wrong, are you well,' she asked?
My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign of bad news.

'I thought that it would be pleasant to be with you,' I responded. 'Just the two of us.'
She thought about it for a moment, and then said, 'I would like that very much.'
That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit nervous.
When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she too seemed to be nervous about our date.

She waited in the door with her shawl on.
She had set her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her last Wedding Anniversary.
She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an angel's.

'I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were impressed,' she said, as she got into the car.
'They can't wait to hear about our meeting'.
We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant, was very nice and cozy.
My mother took my arm as if she were the First Lady.
After we sat down, I had to read the menu. Large Print; half way through the entries, I lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at me.
A nostalgic smile was on her lips.
'It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were young,'

She said.
'Then it's time that you relax and let me return the favor,'

I responded.
During the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation, nothing extra-ordinary, but catching up on recent events of each others life.
We talked so much that we missed the movie.
As we arrived at her house later,

She said, 'I'll go out with you again, but only if you let me invite you.'
I agreed.

'How was your Dinner Date?' asked my wife when I got home.
'Very Nice. Much more so than I could have imagined,' I answered.
A few days later, my mother died of a massive heart attack.

It happened so suddenly that I didn't have time to do anything for her.
Some time later, I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place mother and I had dined.

An attached note said:

'I paid this bill in advance.
I wasn't sure that I could be there;
But nevertheless, I paid for two plates one for you and the other for your wife.
You will never know what that night meant to me.
I Love You, My Son.'

At that moment, I understood the importance of saying in time: 'I LOVE YOU!' and to give our loved ones the time that they deserve.
Nothing in life is more important than parents, your family and friends.
Give them the time they deserve, because these things cannot be put off till 'some other time.'

To A Friend,

This is the attitude you have that makes you two faced.
Just the other day you were telling someone to rest and move on, today you are here trolling again.

Trying to be sarcastic is really ridiculous because we saw pictures and videos (evidences) of the “magu magu” so what exactly is your point? Please don’t make use of sarcasm if you don’t know how to.

    3. MultiChoice has been cheating Nigerians from time with our law makers' consent. The idea of pay per view should be introduced but no, any such plan, they go trying to induce those responsible for customer protection.

The case of millions paying and not watching due to time and traffic only to pay again the following month and the cycle continues can't be over emphasised. Above all, every one has particular channels he/she watches. Why pay for what you wont watch?

Every plan to give MultiChoice competition is quickly nipped in the bud. The case of TSTV readily comes to mind.

I heard Nigerians don't have same bouquet packages as South Africans as they watch higher bouquet for a little less than Nigerians.

  20. The last write up is so beautiful and true. You people whose parents are still alive, I beg you to spend more time with them. See, I'm speaking from experience. I look back and I wish I did more with my parents; I mean we did alot (especially my mom and I) but I just wish we did more together, gisted more, laughed more, said more 'i love yous'.

There's this proverb in Calabar my mom loved to say especially when things don full her head, it sounded very funny (just imagine a typical igbo woman who grew up in the east speaking Calabar, it was hilarious) she said her dad used to say it when he had alot on his mind too, so she learnt it from him. I really wanted to learn it. Whenever I called I just somehow forgot to ask her to say it so we could laugh and I also learn and pass it down to my kids. The day she passed that was the first thing that came to my mind, I don't know why I just always forgot to tell her to teach it to me even though we were speaking it wrongly. Till date I look back and just wished I learnt it, it might irrelevant to alot of people but it's just been on my mind since.

Oh my dearest parents! I still pray for them everyday, even this morning I prayed. I pray I never get tired of praying for them and booking Mass for them also.

Sorry guys, the write-up just got me emotional.
