The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said the commission is zeroing on those hiding under real estate to perpetrate money laundering and other financial crimes. EFCC lawyer, Chris Mishela, told journalists yesterday that many estates springing up in Abuja, Lagos and other parts of the country were believed to be the proceeds of fraud.

An unconfirmed number of persons were on Saturday evening trapped when a block of flat collapsed in the Sango Police Barracks, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. A source with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) who spoke on the condition of anonymity confirmed the incident.

Abia State governor-elect, Alex Otti has debunked the rumours making the rounds that he invited former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon to the state for his (Otti’s) inauguration.
