ReplyDeleteIts been such a blessing having my parents in law in Kano, the last few days. I LOVE them because they demystified the myth of Imo brides being expensive to marry. They made the whole process extremely easy for me, even though my wife is their only daughter, and I am not an Igbo man.
For some reason though, my father in law always forgets I am not Igbo. So when we are together, watching football or conversing, the man go just dey scatter Igbo. My wife will have to remind him that his son in law doesn't understand 'jack'! 😂.
Na 1 thing my mother in law talk yesterday wey sweet me. She said she has no regret that her daughter married me. She's happy with the way I'm taking care of their child. Biko, kuo'm aka.👏
They are leaving back to the east today, and it's been a truly memorable time spent with them. Couldn't have asked for better in-laws. Ndi Igbo Kwenu!! 🙌🙌

How would you describe your relationship with your children? Strained? Exciting? Heart-breaking? Enjoyable? If you want a real eye-opener, ask them to describe their feelings about you and their home. But be warned - what they say might not be to your liking! And having a Christian home doesn't necessarily exempt you. The old nature in us still rears its ugly head from time to time, and habits set in concrete can lead to broken communication.
When biblical principles are ignored, the result is pain and strain in the family. Three illustrations come to mind: (1) Rebekah loved her son Jacob more than his brother Esau, so she used him to deceive their father, Isaac, and cause division in the family (see Genesis 27). (2) Eli, the high priest, let his boys run wild, and in the end it cost him his life (see 1 Samuel 3-4). (3) David preached one thing but practised another, and his children (as kids are apt to do) were more influenced by what he did than by what he said (see 2 Samuel 11, 13, 15-16; 1 Kings 11). Nobody is immune; not Rebekah, not Eli, not David - not you!
So what should you do? Take time to get close to your children. Deal with the barriers between you. You can't change anything unless you're willing to acknowledge it - and sometimes change must begin with you. For example, does your attitude need adjusting? How about your priorities? What example have you been setting lately? Before you deal with your children, ask God to deal with you.

I was dragged and disbelieved by some supporters of the APC here who asked, how is that possible?

Who does that if not someone with an evil heart and a lost conscience.
You claimed to be the party acting national chairman and you're fighting your party from reclaiming the mandate given to them by Nigeria that was stolen.
What else do you need again to prove this man came with an intention and heavily bankrolled to destroy Labour Party.
Good thing Peter Obi filed the case in his own name before joining Labour Party to the suit. We will see how it goes.

DeleteI don't understand why some people are just wicked,I submitted a proposal to supply some baby items to a big supermarket since February this year and the manager told me he will present it to the owner,unknown to me he didn't. I have been following up by calling him regularly,he told me the man travelled,something took me there on Monday and I met him face to face to inquire about my proposal,he couldn't even remember I dropped one. I even told him I would add small change to the items anytime I supply to them.
ReplyDeleteI spoke with the gate man and he told me some people dropped proposal since October last year and the guy will just dump them inside Ghana must go bag instead of submitting it to the owner,it was the gate man that even burned it early this year.
Why are people are like this?
Bribe him with money, also promise to be giving him something anytime you supply goods, he will submit it. This is Nigeria!
