    Good morning dear SDK yard peeps,
    I woke up 5am, angry! Angry at how bad things have become in our country. Most can't even afford food. People no longer beg for money, but for food. The elites can afford to 'ball'. After all, they have the money to buy anything, no matter how expensive it gets. But what about the 'common' man? 🥺🥲.
    People are really suffering in this country, and for most, it is not because they are lazy or anything. Just the inability of our government to provide an enabling environment and a level playing field for everyone.
    Every government in Nigeria, seems to be worse than the one before it.
    Buhari own na to dey travel upandan - burials, naming ceremony, wake keeping, coronation, medical check ups, and even conferences he has no business attending, instead of staying put to fix things!
    Nigeria is too blessed by God to be where it is today, but greed and corruption have kept us firmly rooted where we are. Sad!
    I hope we get it right someday.

      See ehn, the suffering is bad and it keeps getting worse. When I was buying foodstuff for my mum to bring, I budgeted 10k for 2 paint bucket of egusi because 2021 when I came to Nigeria, I bought 1 paint for 3k so I said pata pata, it would have increased to 5k. I later found out it was 9k so I spent 18k on 2 buckets. Same egusi I spent 9k on 3 buckets in 2021. This is just one example. If life is now difficult for average people, I wonder how the poor are feeding.

      Don’t just fall sick in this economy, even malaria you'd spend nothing less that 20k running tests and getting drugs.
      That’s why it’s so funny some people used tribe to vote this year, like are you not tired?
      Go to National hospital and see the number of sick people and some cannot afford medical bills.
      I keep begging God to help but at the end of the day some people seem to love their chains.

      NK: exactly! Our prayer points are things that can be easily fixed by government. Truth is, Nigerians are not even asking for too much. We are a resilient bunch that try to succeed no matter how the odds are stacked against us. All we want is just the basic things, so that we can thrive. But even that, has been denied us. Sad!

      Eka: It's just ridiculously crazy how prices of things skyrocket daily. And like you rightly pointed out, if us wey dey even see 1 or 2, dey complain, what of those who earn next to nothing? Omoh, it is HARD right now in Naija. And that's why when I see posts like "what can 5k do for you", I am almost in years reading what people are going through. Kai!!

      A friend who just gave birth few months back sent a picture of sma gold price tag. 14k. Something that will last less than 2weeks. It is not just about increase in prices. The quality and quantity of goods especially sealed once have reduced. We move!!!!

    This Samaritan woman tried to fill the emptiness in her life with multiple relationships. But it didn't work. Why did Jesus say, 'You have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband' (John 4:18 NIV)? Because one of the first things hurting people need to do is break the pattern of using other people as a narcotic to dull the pain of their inner void. The more you medicate the symptoms, the less chance you have of allowing God to treat the cause. Another dysfunctional tendency that can exist is that you keep increasing the dosage. When you become increasingly dependent on people to create a feeling of wholeness in your life, you're abusing your relationships. Clinging to people is very different from loving them; instead of declaring your love for them, you're crying out of your need for them. It's extremely selfish; it's taking, instead of giving.

    Jesus quenched the Samaritan woman's thirst with his word, saying, 'Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life' (John 4:14 NIV). And she went back home totally changed, for that's what Jesus does. Listen to her testimony: 'Come, see a man who told me everything' (John 4:29 NIV). And what Jesus did for her, he will do for you today.

I listen to her voicenotes, just to hear her voice (it makes me feel she's with me). These past couple of days have been somehow for me, like I wake up feeling "off". There are days I just switch off my phone like I just wanna be on my own, but I have decided I'm gonna try to be in control of my thoughts and emotions. Y'all stay safe out there.       Losing a loved one has no getting used to. You just learn how to live with it. It's been a year and 2 weeks since I lost my younger brother. I think about him everyday. I wonder and imagine if his skeleton has all disappeared in his grave

      I quit a relationship I think around 2O14 over a thing like this. The lady abbreviates and I don't like it. She's a graduate but will write api instead of happy. She will write 1Ox instead of thanks. And so many others. When I tried to correct her and told her I don't like it because it's irritating m, she bluntly told me, she will never stop and that I'm wasting my time trying to change or stop her.

      That was the end of it all.

    Now, the Mannequin is about to leave the sit of power, who is going to be held accountable for all the waste of money.. this is the rascality we complain about.
    The billions that was wasted for an election they could have just selected their candidate as they finally did.. the billions wasted in printing new currency which didn't change anything and which are no were to be found now.. wasteful spending on pretence when they know there's no need for all those façade since they were still going to select their candidate as the next president..

    This is the reasons for the youth leaving the country..
    This is reason doctors are leaving in droves..

    Those billions could have been put into good use in the economy, they could construct good roads, build standard hospitals etc etc but NO, they prefer to waste it and complain on the youth leaving, and try to pass a stupid legislation on withholding Doctors licence for 3 years to force them to stay back in the country.. they keep making things worse because they're senseless.. because they don't want to be caught doing the right thing..
    Me I don't want to be in a country where doctors are forced to stay back from leaving, those doctors would give you their worst.. na deaths and mistreatment of patients go full all these our substandard hospital..

    Now, they'll swear in Bala Blu soon, another man who has shown not to respect the masses intelligence, one who never went for any interview, one who sew bishop regalia for touts for appearance.. God forbid..

    Make everybody just dey plan japa cos the country isn't worth dying for..

    These are not the kind of president that the youths are ready to rally around and fight with if there's war in the country.. any president that can't call on the youth to fight and they come out without being forced is not fit to be president.. we know the man who can make these call and we would all come out on multiple..

      In customary courts it's the traditional chiefs and elders that judge..
      A lawyer may only the there to guide them
